MOT History odometer readings / Change of details??

I would take the car back and go buy one without this issue, there are plenty around.

    Car tax

That's what my 53 plate cup was when I renewed it at the beginning of the month

Just bought a 172 cup , has had a reflash and F4R camshafts?

So you brought it then. F4R is the model of the 2.0 engine so likely to be standard, although not 100%. Again a reflash could mean a remap or just a ecu reset. Who carried out the work?

What to look for in a 172 cup - help!

Best thing to do is check the history, who has done the belts, is there an invoice, if so what is listed on it? As always if in doubt either walk away or get enough money off to fix your doubt.

What to look for in a 172 cup - help!

Also don't be afraid to do a few fast gear changes especially into third. As these gearboxes often suffer syncros going, which is normally first noticeable when changing gear quickly.

    Solid top mounts

I find them fine on the road, and as Mick said they give you a much more positive turn in. The pm top mounts and brace + RARB = epic

PH shed of the week - Clio 172

Not sure why he didn't wash it for the advert. But apart form the lights and exhaust it looks in pretty good condition when I've driven past it

    7.5J, 8.5J, ET 30, ET 40???

No you've got it the wrong way, the lower the et the more towards or past the arch they sit. For example the standard 172 are et 42 and the cup turini are et38 which sit further out in the arch

    7.5J, 8.5J, ET 30, ET 40???

I don't think they would fit. I have some 7.5j et30 wheels and they are level with the arch. These will stick out a far way past the arch

    Koni yellow rebound and extending

Just wondering if it is normal for koni yellow rear shocks to stay compressed when fully pushed down, or should they extend again. They do show resistance when extended back by hand. They are on fully soft if it matters.

I drive past that car each week when i go footy training. Looks in fair enough condition in the flesh, if I had £600 right now I would go buy it!

Induction Kits - KEEP THE FILTERS OILED!

Haha don't be silly I wouldn't buy a KTR one at that price. Made my own for 1/3 of the price, just changed to a foam filter instead of a k&n

Induction Kits - KEEP THE FILTERS OILED!

What's the best spray/oil to use? Also I've seen cleaning spray, is that necessary? Or will a wash in warm water work?

    induction thoughts?

I would discount it completely, each clio seems to act a bit differently but in general there have been a fair few good reveiws of that kit.

    induction thoughts?

I don't have the actual ktec one but one I made to the same design. I thought it gave small gains, and have spoken to several people who like the ktec. Maybe try to get a cold air feed to it

Why is trophy offset better than cup offset?

Even worse people buy the trophy ones then fit spacers?? Cup ones sit nicely

    induction thoughts?

I am surprised it feels slower. you won't feel loads of difference over a aftermarket panel filter, but should make it any worse?
