I agree if they start to feel twitchy replace them. But no point putting new ones on the straight away. use you original ones and if they fail replace them, but no say they definitely will. Plus changing the rear shocks is a very easy job
Tried search the guides but can't find anything on how to remove the rear bumper.
Sure it's easy but a bit of hhelp where the bolts are and any tips would be helpful.
Well I had prolines on before, since changing to cooksports my front left shock has been squeaking over bumps. Shocks are only 6 months old done less than 5k, assumed it was a faulty shock. I will be fitting replacement shocks in a few day so will see how they get on.
I was thinking maybe...
This happen to me on my cup. I insisted he sent the wrong one but he promised it would work. Loaded it a year ago and been fine. Just email him to double check but he does know what he is doing.
If they try to impound my car the there will be a death sentence!
Kind of swaying to the side that the old bumper isnt worth the hassle, just annoying throwing it away.
Well the only thing I can think of is my exhaust it like a yozza so sits under the bumper so might be class as sticking out?
My current bumper is not damaged there is just a small scuff and some chips from the previous owner taking stuff out of the boot.
What is the penalty if I do get pulled?
Cheers, I cant see anything sticking out that might be dangerous. Well maybe my exhaust.
Unless anyone wants a cup rear bumper in the East Sussex area on Saturday for a beer token
Welcome, glad your enjoying the 182. As for the splitter most people use a skoda fabia front splitter, have a search for it on here, cost around £13. Otherwise Renault charge £160 for a new plastic cup splitter! Or you can get a carbon one for around the same price
Also another vote for Fred...
Depends on your budget. I would highly recommend a rs tuner to map your car, also you can make your own induction setup for around £50-60. Handling wise a rarb is a good cheap mod which is easy to fit.
Well ffrom what I was reading the main point is that there has to be nothing sharp sticking out. Not sure if that's true?
Was also thinking of ditching the old bumper at a local tip but being a tight arse I was going to try and sell it
Now I know I'm likely to get shot down in flames but here it goes! I am picking up a rear bumper which is 100 miles away. However I need to go that way with the family.
I was thinking about taking off my rear bumper and putting the new one on there, saving 200 miles as I cant fit the family in...
I did the same after reading how good they were on here. Soon found out they were shocking! Only done 1500 miles in them and will be binning them very soon.
I remember seeing this at the rolling road day. The owner the was talking about how badly the itbs were setup and the problems he had. Then Llewellyn brought it and sold it on as it was too good brake if iirc
Not sure what the fuss is all about, he's only taking the windows out and panelling them. Not like he came on here and said he was going to cut the roof off and make it a convertible!
If it was me I would want a receipt of the belts being done. Might be just me being untrusting, but no receipt I would treat it as it hasn't been done, I wouldn't take someone's word.
Super sweatyman.
But to be honest I never took it into consideration when I brought the cup and have only felt like I wanted air con 3 days so far this year so not really missing much.
