Have you tried to cable tie your value like the thread I linked?? As cup rear brakes do very very little normally
Deek- the lever should move as the brakes pressed, the spring is actually to hold the spring up when braking increases. As the lower the lever the less rear braking. Therefore cable...
I'm changing the gearbox oil on my car, seen opie do millers 70-80 or eBay do elf 70-80. Which one would people recommend? Or any other ones out there?
They are still trading, think they may have changed their name slightly. Give Mike a ring: 07985 266042 he is one of the owners.
Failing that I used btm in Birmingham, bit of a drive but Fred the owner really knows his stuff and went the extra mile to check my car...
The pictures of mine were take a few days after fitting and have dropped 3-5 mm. Also bare in mind they are 15" wheels.
But like everyone has said unless you spend 6-700+, you will end up sacrificing handling to get lower
Mine on cooksports and 15" wheels. Plus they have settled a bit lower now
Busta- The rears are different on the cup as well iirc. I have some cup shocks for sale if your interested pm me
This happened to me, you can take the document and argue. But best thing is to cable tie the compensator value up. Read through the linked thread work for me

I havent noticed a difference in MPG going to 15" wheels. Does feel a bit better to drive, but then I only drive on public roads not tracks.
As mentioned you will need atleast a 30mm drop. I had prolines fitted when I first put them on, and I felt ashamed to be driving my car. Changed to...
Well most people prefer 15's for handling/weight purposes and 16's for looks. Also tyres are cheap for 15's
Just really depends what's around if your buying secondhand and what you're looking for in the car
Personally if it is mint (as can be for a used car) got good history and belts done I wouldn't say it was massively overpriced
I have seen traders on here for example selling simular cars for simular money without question.
Did you buy it privately or a garage?
Could be a few things such as ignition, injector, lamba sensor. Best advice would be getting it plugged into a diagnostic machine.
My old 172 did this for a while. Turned out to be an injector fault. However could be anything to do with the injectors, wiring etc or ignition coil pack leads etc. so you are probably best getting it on a clip reader, as I have seen several people replace a list of parts blindly trying to find...
Doesn't look to bad, but I personally don't like tints on clios.
If you do get them maybe try a light tint as I think full limo tints will look a bit ott on a black car.
I currently have cooksports on cup shocks. I am going to change them for spax shock at the front and koni rear with 25mm spax springs. Now should I swap my cooksport for the spax springs?
Main things I'm thinking are,
Are the ride heights simular?
Are the spax springs rated for the shocks...
Hi all
Just picked up a 182 manifold and link pipe for my cup. Now looking on the guides and from talking to people I know this is a bit of a nightmare to fit.
Does anyone have an idea of what a garage would charge to fit it? And a good place around the Berkshire/Surrey/bucks area
Thats ok, really does make a great noise and did feel a tiny bit better to drive. One thing to check is your battery size, this will only work with a 063 type batter not the bigger 070. So look on the battery for the type. Lastly the 90 hose will need triming a bit, but a real easy job with a...
I'm just going to clear up my story with these as I feel it may have reflected badly on cooksport
I was just simply saying that after fitting both cooksport springs and pm top mounts, my left front shock started squeaking. Now this could be a few things and I mentioned that I would need to...
