That would be good, do you get to Oulton at any point?
I will try to get one sorted it would give a useful starting point.
Do you adjust your own geo?
I dont know would be the truth but it's such a short lap I dont think you get much increase and I started with more pressure in the rear.
Obviously tyre compound and temp will have played a part but it wasn't lack of front end grip more lack of willingness to respond.
To be perfectly honest that's a good price - providing that they are in "just professionally refurbished" condition with "new" premium tyres.
I wouldn't buy them myself and am playing devils advocate really but if my above criteria are met your talking over 700 quids worth
...
I didn't, should have done really but with it being as short as curborough is i didn't think it was really worth it.
That's my theory too - that way i have half a chance of understanding whats going on.
How would i go about running camber and toe at the same time? can you run two shims at once...
I do have an ARB to fit but i don't really want to go throwing components at a problem that setup might fix, IMO steady incremental improvement is the way forward to get the car to suit my style. (all the gear no idea?)
i could slat the ARB on and it mask a more fundamental problem
Off the top of my head ( I have it written down at home, but I'm currently out of the country)
Front has 2mm toe out and 1.5 degrees negative camber
Rear is standard
Rake I think was about 10 - 20mm nose down (I'm not sure about that though)
I did increase the stiffness of the rear...
I don't like hitting animals - i hit a rabbit at 50 once! you could hear it contact everything under the car (thanks to cup sound proofing) then it exploded out of the back after hitting the exhaust!
Horrible :dead:
So i finally got round to using the car! its taken me alot longer than i imagined but has been worth it!
The car went very well at curborough - no breakdowns! Its surprisingly quick for a standard car its possible it has had a remap at some point?
Only thing i have to report is under-steer, it...
Personally i have never had problems with stopping power on standard calipers with decent pads, but i have had issues with fade - but if that was heat of the pads or heat in the fluid i don't know.
So 4 pots should help with cooling due to larger pad area and bigger disc?
What sort of modifications to you have to be performed to the head and standard inlet.to achieve good power?
Its appealing to be mainly as I don't want £1000 plus stuck at the front of my car asking to.get smashed in a bump.
Ok so this turned out to be the worst project thread in history!
Its now finished! so photo dump time!
Right i will get round to doing a write up on each pic - its taken me 30 mins just to upload!
I thought i would sneak a pic of the old 205 in at the...
