Make sure the arm returns to its "closed" position - if it does not return then you wont get any effort.
jack it up so the rear is off the ground,make sure the valve is closed and pushed all the toward the body and get someone to press the brake - you should have rear brakes

I have just finished modding my bones this way and somehow have managed to end up with different gaps each side.
Can anyone see problems elongating the front hole so that they are the same and leaving the hole elongated without welding up the space left?

But you are right they were cheap although also bought with damp use in mind.
Grip wasn't bad considering the now obvious failings in my setup
TBH I wouldn't bother, I think I paid Suffolk flocking services about £120 to do my top dash and its perfect - not worth messing about as those kits are pants I believe.

Just been out to the garage to have a look at my car after my trackday the other week (Oulton)
I had a look at the front passenger side tyre and this drawing is a representation of what I found.
OK I'm not an artist!
Now what I think I have there is too much tyre pressure...
Evening - I have just finished checking the car for its track day on Wednesday and have picked up some play in the steering ( hold the wheel at 9 and 3 + wiggle) on both sides
How much should I expect? It's bad timing really as im going to be.pushed to change them if they need doing!
