BEWARE, LOW MILEAGE LIQUID YELLOW CLIO 182 VO54 FFZ

Brilliant read, and Fred great report! Good move re finding a Trophy, hope you get a good one ;-)

Why do you love your Clio RenaultSport?

Estimated to others on here, rediculously under-estimated to 99.9% of every other car owner / road user! Most of my work colleagues wonder what I'm talking about when I mention the dampers, most people just see it as an ordinary Clio.

Car has just broke its self :(

Must admit, when I first started driving I had a right old clapped out MG Metro but to this day, I wish I had saved my money up before buying car after car after car! My Trophy is off the road having dampers refurbed and must say my other halfs Saxo VTR (S reg.) is a 'beast' to buzz about in and...

Replaced rear pads - left handbrake on

Parked the car up ready to remove the dampers for a refurb and thought I may as well replace the rear pads whilst the car was off the ground. Have a feeling that I did not release the handbrake when I replaced them but cannot be sure! Have I done much damage? Pads fitted and car brakes as...

182 Inner tie / rod end change, advice needed

Assume the 182 cup would be the same as the Trophy? Can you get just the track rod ends from anywhere other than Renault?

Replacing front beaarings - likely to need ABS sensors?

Thanks both - just spoke to friend at garage who was adamant this will not be a problem!

Replacing front beaarings - likely to need ABS sensors?

I did think that but reading some posts on here says they are near on impossible to remove without damaging them!

Replacing front beaarings - likely to need ABS sensors?

Car going in to a friends garage on Saturday to have majority of front suspension components replaced but seem to have overlooked a likely problem with the front ABS sensors. Are these likely to be damaged if the hubs are removed for new bearings to be pressed in? Thanks in advance!

Front End Suspension Refresh Parts Prices!

Hi, Doing the same 'project' myself - make sure you advise Euro Car Parts on the 25% online discount - got the Lemforder ball joints at trade for £13.65 + VAT each (Fred recommends these). Not too sure on the track rod ends for the Trophy but would imagine the Lemforder are a good shout again...

Gearchange problem. Problem solving help required!

Used the cheaper 75w90 in mine (most on here say it is ok) and should of used 75w80 - mine also 'stiff' going into 1st some mornings.

What have you got suspension wise and why?

Standard Trophy setup from factory other than refurbed front dampers depinned and new rear Sachs shocks.

    Lower ball joints. Where from?

Did you go for the Lemforder joints? Picked up a pair from ECP for £13.65 each! Fitted some 'cheapie' ball joints a short while ago and have knocking already!!
