The Clio don't have fan belts its either the aux belt or cambelt or more likly both have gone (aux belt shapps and takes out the cmabelt most the time) Its not cheap to fix get it checked the cambelt has broke and then try the specialist its not cheap to do even if your lucky and not much is...
In theory yep some cars have had trouble and cannot do it as such though.
Fix the problem though if the imobiliser light not going out then sort it out don't bypass it.
If the lights not going out you need a new decoder ring or check the wires for a fault.

Since the 182 without cup pack kit is the same as the 172 you sound like you have the 182 none cuped/172 coilover setup
The 182 coilover setup has 60mm front hub spacing vs 54 for the other 172/182 none cuped packed setup)

I woulnd't worry about relibility you get good and bad in all cars the clio hasn't as good reliability as the Corolla but then again often drivers are a different type if you catch my drift.
Cambelt is officialy done at 72k and 5 years personaly i'd get it done at 60k and 4 years max. cost is about £330 to £700 depends where you go labour rate wis its 5.1 hours only go to dealerships who have all the tools for the job and have done them before and the kit is £140 ish for all the bit...
Firstly my handbrake and stop lights are on which means new pads and fluid. Can I do this myself and what fluid/pads do i need???
You can DIY it the parts are £175 from Yozzasort or GDI etc for pads and shsoes all built up as such or else shop round and put the effort in and get the bearing...
Personaly I'd leave it standard there not cheap to fix injectors are £200 each plus only a renault computer/dealership can program them to the car fuel pumps are £300.
100 are rare and I don't rate the gearboxes I'd have the 80 instead.

Do you know what the correct grade of oil is? 10-40 is fine to use.
Could be or might be the pollebnt filter is there a part number I'll check then.

Yep the only fixs are to have new abs rings made up or swop to the 172 rear axle and computer.
Or have new front ABS rings made up but the speedo going to be out. since speedo runnings are taken fromt he front.
I wouldn't expect any where near that much torque. I'd say if the works all done right then a bit over 200hp the biggest issue will be you'll be pushing the injectors to 100% as there onyl rated officialy to 208hp.
