Front disks are £30~35 each or so loads of places sell them. GSF or yozzaspoprt sell the brembo high carbon stuff for about the same I think as a set.
Whats wrong with £97 for labour its a typical rate realy?
Pads well loads fo choice form stock for £45 form Renault to fll on race stuff...
Fitment will be cheap as its a plug in unit. Most people who fit them will do it themselves IMO so labour at this level not an issue.
BB kit is so much as they stick some low compression pistons in so that cost includes a stripped down engine as such plus they stick an uprated clutch in there.
Do a search the bumper isue is discussd all the time.
Exhaust is easier still if you are chnaging the bumper at the ame time. just undo the bottom shock absorber bolts and drop the axle
H an R's I'd say
How about taking the other side spring off get it tested for size etc then go to a spring manurfactuer with the spec and the'll make them up for you.
You can do it yourself not dfficult to do there a guide on the forum.
New clutch is £80 or so from Renault or GSF etc (Renault is often cheaper0
being as its 7.1 hours to fit the labour charge is killing you the clutch specilaist are the best places to try.
They can do someting explain your situation/try again they'll give you settlment figures etc.
Assuming its a 55 plate 2005 car with 10k then its worth about £7~7.5k trade in.
New calipers/refurbs
new pads disk lines
New mounts
ARB bushes
arb bar if rusted etc.
New wishbones
new driveshafts
new cultch
refurb gearbox possibly
clutch cable chnagd
throttle cable chnaged
new springs possibly
chnage all the fluids
underseal the car
But realy best stick...
I've just done a search and found the answer.
Why put all the effort into posting this topic when you can do a search and get the answer and all you could ever want to know faster?
PS that means I'll not telling you as I'm following your example and cannot be bothered.
Best take the car to a specialsist or a good garage don't keep drivng round they'll be able to plug in the computer and read the fault.
Could be a number of things throttle body plugs coil packs lambedas etc.
I'd definatly go for a resparyed 172. Seriously transplants cost more than you think.
Hope you have a good garage to do it in with all the tools idealy lifts etc.
Yep depends hwo your going about the swop though I assume you know your FK need bodging to fit (drill the holes oversize) to fit the 172 hubs assuming your using 172 brakes? Or are you keeping the stock brakes?
Not worth doing an engine swop though buy the proper car if you want a the sleeper...
You'll need the hubs realy and then the shocks as well otherwise you'd have to bodge your present setup) you could have brackets made for your hubs to hold the 182 calipers but there no need stock brakes are more than enough.
Yep regardless of what you use ie 1.6 etc ti will as 1.6 seemingly use a 172 type ABS setup system and yes you can swop the abs system over but don't otherwsie might as well chnage the engine as well for all the effort and problems.
DOn't just replace the springs you have to spend a fortune to get a beter setup than Renault managed else why do you think Renault woulnd't have fitted the different springs as such.
H and R coilovers are what I'd recomend £750 or so your looking at.
Your best off making your your dampers and bushes are all ok before trying up chnage anything and IMo don't bother with springs either do it proerply and spend a lot of keep with the stock setup as a lot more money has been spend on it if you do want just springs go for eisback do a search for...
