yeh cheers man, i have managed to source a sport bumper modified to fit non sports without wings, gonna fit that, fix a crack and smooth the number plate recess out :) will prob ask about fiberglass and s**t soon tho :P
i run old genuine bbs from a bmw e30, they were cheap as chips! i wouldnt...
yeh the headlights and grill kinda ruin the smoothness of it all, think i am gonna get knuckles old bumper, fix it up, smooth the number plate recess and get it painted, that way its different to normal, still got the nice lines from the sport bumper and will have a good finish
the pic above...
Gee thanks..
Gonna head down the sport bumper route instead, they look better and I assume that will suit the tastes of more on here seeing that most people have some strange hatred for the non sports.
Came looking for ideas and experience not people to slate it. We've all gotta start somewhere.
That would be amazing, I'd do it proud again [emoji14]
I'll drop you a PM In a bit when I'm out of my uni lectures and look into courier services for it
@Willsam too many axe's and lensos on the clio scene! And I'm too pussy to cut my ta springs haha and yeh this is why I'm on about smoothing mine now, it looks awesome!
@Wee_Billy_92 get something unique man' some 8j dish or splits would look sick, or I'm really liking the stuttgart st7 but im...
Each to their own @mossyv6
Cheers @Knuckles
Have been looking over your thread and will probably go for the 1*2 bumper, modify the brackets and smooth the recess
You have any real problems fitting the bumper?
basically i have this
and am tempted to do this:
any thoughts / ideas
was thinking of adapting a sport bumper instead, but cannot find the info on how to do it :/
also, anyone got any ideas of prices for a bumper spray if i do all the prep myself
cheers
yeh it sits well, im looking at getting some corsa springs and grinding them to fit my adjuster base and cutting the top down
if youve got £80, there are some custom springs going on fb and ig. you seen juicy clyde on ig? his old springs are for sale, and they are low, like real low haha
should have kept this upto date, but cba, heres pics
had stretched tyres, more lows, more colour coding, more camber, more everything
this is the new problem only more camber will solve..
ah man, this colour looks so much better than the old one!
seen similar colours on Rocketbunny FRS's, suits the clio tho
just need a sport grill now :P
So i run 165/50 r15 nankang ns2 on a 7j rim, brand new tyres as my old ones were eaten by the rear arch :tired:
my spare steelies are going bald, so will probably fail with them on
would the stretched tyres pass an MOT or will i have to source some wheels for the mot
??
hoping to move away from the clio in about a years time, something with more power, maybe something jap :)
ive probably missed loads off my list of current mods but i cbf to go back and update it all
ok yeh, this thread has gone ignored for too long
cant really remember when i stopped updating this but was a while ago now
Since i last updated ive done a fair bit, given her a good service, runs a lot cleaner now and seems a bit nippier :)
fitted new black insert headlights as my old ones...
You'll need to remove all 4 hub bolts to fit the shim in as it has to sit through the bolts, so I would take them all out, hold the hub up to where it was and put the top 2 bolts through the axel, through the shim and then into the back of the hub :) and then the bottom ones should slide in haha
Do it, it's real easy, just remember to wd40 your bolts, but there shouldn't really be rust inside haha
I have a roll too, the guy at archenemy flattened that for me with a mallet haha
And yeah its an 12E torx socket (not m12, sorry got confused)
3.99 in halfords
Thanks man
Rear camber is piss easy, don't even need to drop the suspension,
Its an m12 bolt, like a torx head, got mine from halfords for a few quid and then where your suspension strut is, the bolts are behind there, undo them, don't drop the hub, slot them in and voila
And I'm running...
Suppose I could update the thread
This will prob be the last update as I'm now off to uni so the Clio will be at home haha
Managed to fix the rubbing at the rear. Arch roll, camber shims and an extra washer to push them out that little bit more
Got a k&n pod filter to make it louder
I love...
I have a ns with a 182 interior minus the front door cards
I can dissemble the front cards and pop the material off
What would be the best way to cover them in alacantra and where would be the best place to source this stuff?
Thanks in advance
Got a set of shims at home needing to be fitted
I have a very limited tool arsenal,
What is the easiest way of going about fitting them to a non sport..?
Was told I could do it without dismembering the drum, if so what head do I need to remove the nut? Its some strange star shaped thing...
Fair doos, they look nice and tidy
Interesting .... Haha
Some old cars are amazing, esp bimmers, but then some are so gross and their newer models are much nicer Haha
Think its a mixed bag with old cars, plus you gotta sum up their cost, mpg, and even work needing to be done
