So after half way through reading about the DA and so on on DW i'm ready to purchase one to try and get my car looking a little bit better ready for CS Saturday and the likes.
There are imperfections all over that either disappear with a decent polish or at least look better after one. I also...
So lets get something rolling even if we don't all convoy down as i know other people will prefer to set off at different times and on different days.
Maybe some of us can come together through this way or a few come to an agreement on times possibly.
Friday
Adam D (not sure on a time yet...
Been okay for the last couple of weeks although its not had a really good run where it normally decides to show. Only extra different is that the car sometimes takes a second longer to start since i had the injectors cleaned but its not really a problem i suppose.
Looking to get a week off in...
7 year thread bump ! I imagine if he didn't sort it he's got rid of the car by now aha, the user was last active in 2011 so ill doubt you'll get an answer.
MicKPM You was my next step to come to as soon as I can find out when I can leave work to get it booked in, I imagine the drive down to you would make it start doing what it's doing when up to temp.
With what you think it is a major problem? Or something you could possibly fix while I'm down...
So this problem still happens and only seem I happens when the engine is warmed up. From cold it performs spot on, even after a few miles and it got up to temperature it's still fine but as it gets warmer and driven longer it just randomly just happens. Say I am going from a stop start, first...
I really don't see how pushing the key in with force would solve the imobiliser problem?..
If the red light is solid it's not a key problem or anything like that but that's as much as I can help you sorry!
If I recall there is no way to bypass the immobiliser even though I don't actually...
Sits perfect as it is looking at the pictures. I feel your pain! When I had coilovers on my 1.2 I had it sitting pretty low that I had to drive onto blocks before I could get a jack underneath, or even onto the ramps when getting my tracking done haha!
2 sets of hands make it a much easier job...
So, f*cking f*ck thing.
Removed two of the bolts using a nice 3/8 socket which fitted perfect. Just the last one is being a tw*t!
10mm just spins, 9mm is too small. The 3/8 socket seems too big. There are edges on the nut it's not rounded much. Tried hammering a 9mm multifit socket on, it...
Will give it another go shortly. I attempted it again trying a 10mm multifit 10mm socket but didn't seem to do anything to the bolt but span one on it so I stopped. Sprayed the threads and nuts in WD40 and used a wire brush on them. Then left them to soak again in some more.
Any other ideas if...
So I'm in the process of trying to remove my standard exhaust. Waiting for a 13mm deep socket to undo the centre clamp so I thought I'd remove the part attached to the CAT. In the most awkward place ever to get to i think I can manage it but I'm not sure how to actually undo it.
Is it just...
@K_McDermott
Not the best of pictures really, pulled them off instagram but you get the idea. Bits and bobs have changed since then as these were a while a go now mind.
You have the nicer set of lights on yours than this!
You've done the good steps to make it easier come the day you do it. I had no wiper removal tool and mine were pretty tight on, a slight tap with the hammer on the thread going through the wiper arm while pulling up got it out.
The washer pump i got from EuroCar Parts was the wrong one...
My mate has one of these with just the side stripes, plastidiped black wheels, wind deflectors, plastic trim around the fogs all black and lowered. Looks pretty sweet! Although i would like to see it back on standard silver wheels as when i see them on others they are a really nice set as standard.
So I've had a few little updates,
If you've seen one of my previous threads the car is currently off the road. Many down sides to this but quite a few positives! Still waiting for the V5 to come back, possibly a couple of weeks before it appears. Having it off road means the money i spend on...
Really love it, i still really do like the clio though as its like a little go kart but i love the Meg, really good for a bigger upgrade with good options spec wise / mod wise!
That is true! His 225 is lovely but i can't be as OCD as he is for some parts!
Even after the lack of replies ;)
After many swear words, hands hit with hammer and a couple of ruined tools i managed to get them out!
Cannot wait to get the revised pins in with R clips so this doesn't happen again.
How much people are finding the 197 style badge? Keep seeing threads of it around £27 from eBay and the likes but can only find it for £39.99 on there.
So while the car is off the road I'm attempting to remove the old pins/pads before I order a new set on my 225.
The pins are just not moving so I used the method of cutting them down inside at each end. This made me able to get the pads out but the head of the pin is still in the rear of the...
I'll give them in Birdwell a go, forgot about them they always seem pretty busy too, were there prices reasonable?
just had a look at that one Kchristmas looks like their work is decent and it's close by, were you happy with what they did? Will call in Tuesday and enquire about the small parts...
Does anyone recommend anywhere to go to around the Barnsley Area.
Eventually after a front end respray and a couple of other bits doing but first i just wanted some general interior parts from the 225 spraying such as the centre console, wing mirror covers, grab handles etc.. but all the big...
