    Battery, Alarm related fault?

How do you think it isn't charging? Water in the alarm siren is very common and causes all sorts of weird faults, try unplugging the alarm module under the passenger airbag see if any of it stops.

I need a new engine for my 182!

Get one from a breakers with warrenty and i'd be changing the cambelt/clutch etc before it all goes in. Cliospares/specialised renault breakers should be able to sort you one.

Bolt head sheared off - advice please

From the top of my head thats just holding the oil seperator top on. Not the total end of the world but I'd want it sorting personally. How tight did you go? Surprised it didn't rip the threads out of the cam cover first tbh.

Couple of 182 questions - just bought and want to tinker!

I thought it was the other way round? Could be wrong. 3.1l. Drain plug on the bottom, get a new copper crush washer for it or it will leak afterwards.

    alarm 'beep' ?

Constant tone is when you've left something open, 3 beeps is interior sensors deactivated and 4 is ignition still present (or it thinks it is). Shut the doors?

Couple of 182 questions - just bought and want to tinker!

Clutch cables do get sticky and more stiff when they get old and the grease dries out, plus the DS2500s fit just fine if you get the right model of pads (ie not the ones ktec sell).

    i7 980 - Good price now

A 2600K is half the price almost and when overclocked will outperform it. I struggle to see an arguement why anyone would still be buying 1366 stuff now tbh.

    Anybody use a mifi device?

Oh yeah good point that just to add that I work in the middle of f**king nowhere and 3 are about the only people where you get decent 3g/H coverage and where I use mine with no problems 99% of the time.

Still a lot of money for "old" tech though. Was a crackers price to begin with imo.

    Anybody use a mifi device?

I've got one on payg with 3 for odds and ends usage. Works very well get around 2mbps on hspda so pretty good for over the air. Yes you can use it over usb just appears as another network adapter.

Blowers not working, Not usual resistor pack? PICTURES,

Well if you've checked everything else and sure you connected it properly up to 12v then yeh does sound like the motor.

Is the 182 and 172 ECU interchangeable?

No, it could do but they are a coded pair to a car with the UCH for the immobisiler. To swap one with another you'd need the ECU, UCH, decoder ring (maybe not can't remember exactly) and keys from the donor car.

    Clio 200 engine noise

Not that I know of, had a problem with the meganes for a bit I believe.

Blowers not working, Not usual resistor pack? PICTURES,

What did you use to bridge the control pack connector with? Thinking you've probably not got a brilliant connection to end up with 6v odd. The control pack in the negative leg of the fan feed so pin 1 of the motor connector to the battery negative should give 12v. Whats the resistance of the...

    Metal valves

They're the tyre pressure sensors if were talking wheel valves here. If you've got that much of a hard on for them then a set will knock you back around the £130 mark. And obviously you won't be able to use the pressure sensors.

Blowers not working, Not usual resistor pack? PICTURES,

Yep their the ones. Decent csa wires on them. Assuming you get 12v there check the resistance of the motor. If they both check out i'll have to dig out the drawings remind me which relay you need to check. Remember the ignition needs to be on when you're doing all this.
