Pah 1k/1.5k is nothing anyway, over the last 18 months/2years i've got bills totalling around £3.5-4k and thats all trade price.

Its not needed and a far greater job than just doing its "whilst the belts off". These engines always suffer from a bit of mayo in the filler cap due to condensation and the plastic cam cover.
Impact driver has never failed to get them out for me, even if someone else has rounded them slightly. Get the shock plus the turning force. Gun can be a bit ferocious imo...
Its nothing to do with the connectors, its the actual wiring loom where the anti tamper cover (which yours hasn't got fitted) cuts through it.

That doesn't get replaced either ;). Washer maybe. You'll loose between 500ml-1l with the filter off, less if you haven't started the car for several hours beforehand.
You need to proove continuity and a lack of any shorts or leakage on Pin 27 of the ECU plug to Pin 20 of the UCH. Same for Pin 57 of the ECU to Pin 19 of the UCH. Thats the canbus connection between the two, and should be a twisted pair.
