I was there as well in my 172 Cup (D*VY J) with an elise, Evo 8, S3 & an S4. Had a great weekend, saw all the trophies and gordini 182 .... decided that i need cut slicks for next year ;)
1st 182 = 20k miles in 5 months :S needless to say i bought a 206 hdi rather sharpish ...
Current 172 Cup = 9k in 5 months. Much better, but still a lot higher than you part-timers ;)
Not a problem as such, such an irritation ... the backbox keeps dropping. Not due to the mount being knackered, but because the join between the back box & centre section keeps twisting around; subsequently dropping the box.
Any ideas, its clamped properly using 2 very tight clamps, but over...
I had this same issue with the universal Halfords tool as the metal is too soft. Go back and tell them you want a square 8mm tool for your socket set. It will then undo in approx. 1 minute like mine did tonight ...
I wasted all day Sunday trying to get my drain plug out as Renault had...
Driving down Oxford street in London on Saturday, go on admit it, it was you ... chap driving it was dressed like Elvis, had silver Elvis stickers on the side and no. plate 'E1VIS'
I lol'd
Fitted my ktec myself as its stupidly easy - just like making something out of lego as a kid lol
Loudness wise, i do a lot of motorway work & its certainly no worse than the standard one noise wise; nice rasp when you nail it though ;)
V6 airbox is apparently the same one that Renault used on the old shape clio cup cars. So it must be ok.
Evryone has different opinions, i personally couldnt justify spending £300 on a maxogen. Not bothered by the poncy carbon fibre that makes it so expensive so made my own version :)
Personally i find my cup more fun than my 306 Rallye - but that is mostly because i prefer slightly smaller cars (and 35mpg vs 20 lol). That being said, i miss the sublime 6 speeder in the 306 ....
Getting money off brand new is easier as dealers have plenty of margin/volume bonus, etc to play with :)
I managed to get my Z3M down from £14,995 to £12,750 - and that was 2nd hand, off a dealer. Also got all the wheels refurbed, 2 new tyres, a service and 12 months extra warranty ...
I miss the ultimate fun & chuckability of my 106 gtis
I miss the noise & 6 speed box of the 306 Rallye
I miss the immense power of the Z3M
and I miss the cruise control of the 182
Although tbh - the cup is the best car ive owned :race:
I had a v rare imola red Z3M before my 182 ... you need to get some original wheels on there asap!!
Fuel economy should average out at about 25mpg and ins is surprisingly cheap (i paid £950 fully comp at 22 with 1 years no-claims lol, only £50 more than my 306 Rallye!)
Performance is...
I think 0.2 of a second says it all to be honest ... im guessing the Trophy owner took a sh1t before doing the lap and the 197 driver didnt .... :rasp:
Perhaps if it is very low and the springs are compressed too much they will bind? And make a metallic noise? Also arent you supposed to use the rubber mounts on the rear suspension at the bottom of the spring ...
Was what i read on seatcupra.net i think - got fed up with everyone telling me to buy H&Rs on here  so went elsewhere for advice lol. So the Konigsports are fully height & damping adjustable on the car?
If so, i may have to pay the extra ;)
What are your thoughts so far Mr Reebone ...
I didnt order them in the end, my blooming exhaust fell off :banghead: what with 4 new contis and a nice new brake setup from Yoz, they'll have to wait a while me thinks :)
Hurry up and fit yours so you can give me a full review :rasp:
Go on parents insurance; get them to drive the car 3 days a week to work or something, he will then be classed as 2nd driver legally. On the other 4 days he can be insured on whatever they drive as a 3rd driver or something.
Perfectly honest and probably a darn sight cheaper than insuring the...
Re: Highsport, Weitec or Variant 1
Quick update: It seems that Highsports are available cheaper than the Weitecs, so im probably going to go with those. It would also appear that the Konigsports Koni rear dampers are only adjustable off the car, i cant be bothered with that so non-adjustable is...
People dont half talk sh1te on here  not sure how people can tell its a shed from those photos, i mean, it has a curbed wheel - gosh lol.
My cars filthy at the mo, doesnt mean its not looked after ... bargain. I would have had it quite happily - cheapest Cup'd RB 182 on trader is...
Its such a difficult decision!! With my 106 gtis & 306 Rallye i just splashed out £400 on Bilstein Sprintline shocks and springs ... but without that option im lost :S
