lol
Yes, easily in fact.
Between Oct 07 and Feb 08 i did 13k in my 206 hdi, between Feb 08 and Oct 08 this year i have done 20k in my cup.
So thats 33k in a year, in 2 french 5h1tboxes :rasp: i generally average about 2500 miles a month ...
Hmmm, that would suggest that Highsports would be pants on the 'ring, which is essentially the only track i drive on at the mo .... that, combined with the fact i do 30k a year, may suggest i need to spend the extra
lol, yeah i know, was messing, i do clay/polish/wax mine fairly often, but yours looks stunning!! Would love to do mine properly like that if im honest, but doing 30k a year in it means there isnt much point, mines a shed :(
On an entirely different note, what mm have you dropped the coilovers...
Looks lovely
Although tbh, to the untrained eye, i get the same results with a pressure washer, halfords car wash, sponge & chamois ... i find that a small blob of Turtle wax tyre dressing brings the unlaquered side strips up a treat as well ;)
Anyways, you wanna do mine lol
First car - Daihatsu Charade 1.0 - no pics :(
Fiesta 1.6 si
106 gti (had 2 exactly the same)
328i Sport
306 Rallye
M Roadster
182 with both cup packs
206 xsi hdi
172 Cup
Best = H&R, Bilstein, AST = lots of money
Least = Highsports
For £375 you will either get Koni adjustables (fixed height) or cheap coilovers, out of the cheap coilovers, Highsports are apparently the best to go for.
Yes, although as i dont have them on my car yet, im not sure what. Im...
Yes, i've got my name down for Highsports
Highsport is fixed damping
Konigsport is adjustable
If you are a suspension expert and can modify settings for road, smooth track, bumpy track, more under/oversteer, less under/oversteer, etc etc, go for Konigsport. If not, and you just want to...
Because the Z3M has the same size fuel tank .... subsequently i was getting more mpg out of that (commuting through W. London) than some of you lot get out of 172's :S
The comparison purely proved my astonishment at the shocking mpg of some peoples 172s.
Nah, just stick to the speed limits when im doing work miles, so on Friday i ended up getting 43mpg on the trip computer. On personal 80-85 is the mph and 37 is the mpg :)
Tbh, my 172 cup is far better than my 182 was on mpg, that used to average 34mpg.
I have no idea how some people get 230 miles to a tank out of a 172 :S i got more than than from my Z3M lol ... if i dont get 350 miles i ask myself why and even did 420 out of a tank the other day ;)
Trip computer average is 37 - 43mpg generally, depending on how much mway i do at 75-80mph...
They are both fully height adjustable, the Highsports do not have damping adjustment though.
Slammed172 - theres a sticky at the top of the suspension forum re: group buys, pm whoever put it there :)
Not sure if such randomness has been done before, so here's a new idea.
Post pics of your cars on their hols. I've done a fair bit of travelling around Euope over the past couple of years, but this was the first year with the cup, so here's a few pics to start the ball rolling ....
Here we...
I did 4k miles around France, ie north, west & south coast and down into Spain via the Pyrennies (spelling?! lol) this summer so it'll be fine ...
I've got a cup - it was fine even without air con ;)
Oh and mountain roads are amazing :race:
You hit the nail on the head in the latter part of the comment. I always use blackcircles normally, but Kwik fit had 25% off if you bought 4 ... i bought 4
No offence, but whats the point in having a good car if you have shite tyres - they are the only thing that keeps you on the road after all :S
Get the credit card out imho. I got 4 x conti sports from Kwik fit for £260
Glad you saw sense and decided to turn the shed into the track car, didnt quite make sense having the minter for that kinda thing, track cars end up sheddy and sometimes even get dirty ... ;)
Looking good so far James
If you have a 172 cup, its £290 for a cambelt change at Rentech in Portsmouth :) do the major service yourself, its only gearbox/engine oil & filters, etc
