Black square IIRC is something to do with keyless entry, I believe handles are all the same so just make sure you don't get one with a keyhole for the drivers door for example...

Could always remove basic mods like Hekos, then change the wheels back etc as these are quite simple and would get you more money sold separately.

Agreed, be careful and check any history especially belts etc. are from a decent garage and check with the garage the work was done.

It's all in the prep as with most painting, make sure the surface is 100% clean or the primer and the paint won't adhere properly. Light coats and many is always better than one thick heavy coat which would leave loads of drip marks etc...

I've painted mine and they look immaculate after a few weeks and several cleans, a few coats of primer then a few coats of satin black and jobs done. No flaking or anything and heard of alot of people doing it and never having flaking etc... I used hycote paints, grey primer and satin black.

Bit of an inspection this morning reveals there are no loose wheel bolts, they're all torqued correctly, exhaust mounts and heatsheild looks okay with no play in it worth mentioning and nothing different to before. The springs look perfect still, no cracks or splits etc. Gear linkage on the mk3...

For that money I'd rather have a PH1 V6 and a 182 daily personally!

Is the linkage under the car on a Mk3? Never looked and always assumed it was on the top of the box, the arms you can see from under the bonnet! It seems to be making a bit of a different noise too when moving the gearstick left to right! :S

Checked over the springs theres no splits/cracks etc and put some weight on the corners of the car and they both bounce back like normal, not sure what else to look for though!

I drove over a reasonable speed bump earlier, and when the back wheels went over there was a huge bang! So loud it made everyone turn round and stare, it sounded like quite a metal bang which made me worry a bit, so I drove down the road a bit (so I didn't look like too much of a tw*t getting...

I mean the adapter that plugs into the CD changer port on the back of the stereo and converts it to an AUX socket for your phone/ipod/device.

Bottom of the pillar bit at the back of the window on the front doors! One either side IMO like the 172 cup badges. Obviously depends on the sticker size though!
