My thought exactly, a wheel weight could have been ripped off when you hit the kerb etc, a wheel out of balance can cause bad vibrations and movement in the steering wheel. Mine was out of balance and shoot at 70MPH until I got the wheels rebalanced.
Just got this DA polisher on eBay

Don't worry, I didn't pay anywhere even close to £139 for it, so I am happy with...
There's a tapping under my bonnet I think coming from the aux belt area? In work now so haven't had much of a chance to look but is there any common faults this could be?
I'd guess its about 1.5/2 times a second, similar to tapping your nail on a table. I don't think it gets faster when you rev...
Going to give my drum brakes a clean and inspect inside them sometime to see how worn they are, do you have to replace the hub nut when you put the drum back on?
Also anyone know what size the hub nut is?
Thanks
Hey guys, looking for your advice but sorry if i'm hijacking the thread a little! Wheres the best way to start trying to retrofit CC into my MK3 1.2? I know its an option that wasn't selected on the car, and I know the wiring is there behind the dash for the buttons by the headlight adjuster...
I'd be happy with a 182 at 19! Turn 18 in a couple of weeks and will be keeping the 1.2! Went to Renault yesterday and bought a window switch £18.31! The second window switch I've had to buy for it now too. Window all sorted!
They aren't stereo controls, they're controls for the cruise control. You could fit one of these wheels to your car and either retrofit cruise control if your car has all the wiring (you'd need a few other bits) or you could look for a leather or sport wheel from a car without cruise control...
They just found the switch faulty and replaced it, the old switch had clearly blown/broken inside you could see it visibly on that one switch. Ordered another switch, hoping to avoid taking it anywhere when i'm at work.
Even though shes 16? ;) You should be ashamed! Just ordered a new window switch anyway, was going to go to renault Wolverhampton but chose my local dealer instead so I could get it tomorrow either after work or during lunch. Sorry Adam!
All the way down yeah, guessing its the window switch that's broke as it happened before a while ago. Annoying! Anyone think there could be a bigger issue if its gone wrong twice now! If it matters the window was quite slow to respond on the last winding down, when I pushed the switch there was...
Did that last time they diagnosed "faulty window" and ticked the take to a garage box. Anyone know what colour cable is what? Can try linking the wires up with a paper clip if the switch is naffed and then that'll hopefully wind the window up.
Okay so it's my year anniversary with my girlfriend. nice meal out I thought, all was well until we're where we are now. In a car park, on my phone writing this thread as my sodding drivers side window won't go up!!!
This happened when I got the car, and it was the window switch? Could it be...
Saw that car too! Blue and on the grass near the beach? Opposite the ice cream shop? Took a photo of it, I too loved the bucket seat and then the child seat in the back! Noticed the CS tax disc holder too.
Tried the Citroen Xsara ones and found they fit well, but can turn in the holes which I think is crap :(
Tried the Citroen C2 ones and they don't want to fit very well either...
Anyone know of some mist washer jets that fit a Clio MK3? And before anyone says it, my standard ones are broken...
Changing the coolant on my MK3 1.2 soon, going to replace the clip on the bottom radiator hose with a stainless steel jubilee clip. Anyone know what size I need? Won't get a chance to measure myself for a while now.
Anyone know the length of the wiper blades I need? Looking to order new aero...
Trust me, hectic isn't the word! I'm taking A-Levels in ICT, English, Maths, im also doing a Firebrand training apprenticeship and working full time for an ICT support company! All that five days a week, plus a baby sister and a girlfriend = no me time :( Haha, thanks for the offer though :)...
