may be thinking of selling up and getting something else and just wondering what it may be worth
Its a 2000 w reg clio 172
titanium silver
181.6 bhp proven (with fooked dephaser)
gaz coilovers
matched inlets
group n remap
itg filter
spots removed and 2 caf's
full s/s exhaust
decatted...
it does it on tick over but only for around 30-60 seconds
when i try to rev the engine nothing happens, then all of a sudden it will pick up and be ok, once the revs are high enough its fine
had plugs leads
went to my car after it was stood for 2 hours or so,
started up straight away then as i set off it started to missfire and refused to rev,
turned the key off then on and it ran for a few seconds again then no power and missfire same as the first time
i left it ticking over for around 30-60...
use a long socket and just release the hand break enough to loose the tension on the cable, tighten the nut a few turns and try,
repeat untill its tight enough
i will be doing a group buy on cold feeds shortly, check my posts and you will see the kits,
as for feeling slugish i'd check plugs and clean out the inlet and throttle body with some carburettor and inlet cleaner first before you spend loads of money...
just have a go mate its not as hard as you'd think, the only hard part to get off is the lower plenum but if you look on here i'm sure there will be a guide
i've only heard mine once and that was after i replaced all my coolant hoses and had an air lock, the temp needle was near the top before it came on tho
theres one of these idiots selling a 172 with 206 bhp, no reciepts for cams etc and no r/r print out (i was told its running 206 bhp) i even told him he may have been told a lie when he bought it and he said "bring a 200bhp car and this will win i'll race you key for key" i was thinking of...
its a total pig to remove from the car
if i'm correct you have to lower the sub frame to get it off, think i paid £50-£70 to have it done (as grey said i had some other work done and paid it all in one £709 so i'm not sure)
Silicone hoses £170
Bailey header tank £80 second hand
Powdercoating £80
Battery cover £25
Paintwork £25 Just the cost of paint
Bead blasting on cam cover engine mount and a few other bits £35
Few more bits to be powder coated so i'd say £50
so would be looking closer to £500...
