I am quite surprised that BBC have taken 6 days to pick this up though!
I had a YS stealth backbox on mine (2.5" up to the backbox including a decat). I really quite liked it, was quite quiet driving normally and the noise increased when you pressed the loud pedal :D It was just a shame the backbox kept on breaking :(
They will pay for a new windscreen minus your windscreen excess (it is different to your normal policy excess). I would check my documents but they are at work. Oh and it shouldn't affect your NCB!
It depends on the insurance company. You are supposed to tell your insurance company though if making changes like this to your car. I am with Greenlight and all it cost me was £25 for them to change the paperwork (Brembo HCs, DS2500's and braided lines).
HIC are owned by Flux, I did have an accident whilst with them (non fault) and they were actually pretty good. Much much better than Tesco who took just over a year to sort out a claim where someone went into the back of me on the motorway!
I am currently with Greenlight and they were by far...
The website says they are for different models. It could just be the pictures taken were of the same product as he didn't have the other one in stock? I would say give him a call but I doubt he has his mobile on.
Wheel bearing? Discs and pads low? My discs had a huge lip on them and the pads were low, mine started making a grinding noise where the lip was eating away at the pads! :( Well I am guessing that was what caused the noise as Birchdown replaced them earlier today and it has fixed it :D
EDIT...
This might sound like a stupid question! The rear discs come with wheel bearings, should I also be replacing the front wheel bearings when changing the discs? The car has covered 46k miles now and with wanting to do a few track days would it be wise to change them?
I had a quick look, I was originally thinking about the following
Either Brembo Max or Brembo HC front discs
Ferodo DS2500 front pads
Standard pads/discs at the rear
Stainless Steel braided lines
Has anyone had both Brembo Max and HC front discs? Did you notice the difference? Where is the...
I will need to buy some new pads and discs all round in the next month or two. The plan is to upgrade the pads/discs for fast road/track use.
What would people recommend?
It is just a light, if it comes on it comes on. It doesn't cause any harm. If you have an rstuner you can reset the fault codes and the light will go out.
Surely it is the emissions light and not the engine management light? :S
Also if you haven't fitted it then it will come on, the sensor sits there reading values about X. It has a lower limit and an upper limit, if either of these are hit then it will turn the light on (or that is the way I...
Dropping a work colleague off in Walsall town centre I was driving along normally when a gap opened up. I put my foot down in first to speed up and the next thing I know my foot is off the pedal yet I am still shooting forwards! I take it out of 1st into neutral and the engine is banging off...
