The shift light was discontinued late on as when i got mine i took it back to the dealers complaining it wasn't working. The dealers contacted Renault UK who faxed over a letter saying they had omitted it.
IIRC some didnt even have a alloy spare. Later ones were just cobbled together with what...
Pipers all the way. Pull like a train from low down.
Only issue i had with mine is it could be a bit lumpy and hunt up the revs a touch when bringing the car back to idle. Does yours do that Tom?
You wouldn't get the 'bass' if it hugged the arch plus there isn't the space to cram a sub in between the arch liner and the back seat or tailgate. Its contoured to the arch at the rear and from memory is ported. Certainly did the job and much better than sticking a random box placed in the...
Yeah, as i got it mixed up especially. Like i say it went on silver but just turned grey. Had this same issue a few years back with silver paint but also more recently did some alloy wheels which turned out superb. Has to be down to technique
Shook the can for over 2 minutes. The paint is roughly 6 months old i would guess.
It went on silver but has dried matt grey :S
Wonder if its worth heating the can up a bit in warm water?
I'll bob into a phone shop over the weekend. Bought a top up voucher but it won't activate and no joy trying or checking to activate sim. Bloody technology !!
When topping up pay as you go mobile broadband for a tablet, is the voucher you ask for the same as a mobile phone one?
Basically what do i ask for?
The woman in Tesco's didn't have a clue. Banging my head off a brick wall trying to register pay by card online with Three
You've done well finding one with a standard engine. Will be even more sought after.
More of a investment than a car. Keep it forever mate, its guaranteed life insurance
Noticed my ph1 is starting to get a bit of light surface rust in a few areas underneath mainly around the petrol tank of the underside and the underseal looks a bit brittle. I would say a 182 is probably a bit new to be worrying about just yet but worth doing in the near future to preserve.
Things will go wrong no matter what the mileage, its a Renault. Mine has just tipped 160k and has broke 3 times in the last 18 months requiring towed home by the AA on 2 of the occasions. Dodgy CPS sensor, a broken loom wire and a collapsed Koni shocker. Drives like new when its working.
As...
Its usually the spring that loses its tension, expands as a result and rubs on the black cable housing causing the TB to hold open. I just cut the black bit away where it was catching, took the whole thing to bits and PTFE oiled it up and its been fine since.
Its worth stripping it down and re-oiling with the PTFE stuff. Mine having been on its way out approx 9 months or so ago is still going strong.
Think their over 400 quid from Renault now :quiet:
How does it drive? Can you tell much of a difference being high comp?
Does it slap on cold start?
Iv got a high comp bottom end sitting waiting to go in so curious to know :)
I lost the back end in the same kind of situation, twisty back road near a farm. Put it down to the tyres being towards the low side and the tank being a 1/4 empty, basically the car being light at the back end.
