2BH mate i dropped a few psi out the rears and it seemed to just make the swaying more aggressive.

Where it explains about the decat running poorly, i think getting a flatspot on a 1.2 is a bad situation, seeing as you have about 20bhp to work with anyway.
Car has been stripped resulting in the ride height raising a good few mil, looks stupid and its made the back end dodgey under heavy braking.
Springs dont cut it for me and i want the flexibility of track day/road use too.
And finally becuase i have a big fat wad burning a hole in my pocket...
Morning all.
Looking at buying some coilovers for the car but just cant decide between two kits, seeing as i have little experience with both makes and designs i was hoping someone could shed some light on it...
So heres the first kit: http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=2411&pic=3...
Alotta uncalled for critism here lol. Dont think these renaultsport clios are made for straight line speed, mine feels sluggish on the motorway when havig it :(
But on the country roads it feels more than capable!
Had the Apollo myself, well bought it but never fitted it. Was told it actually lost bhp.
How did you find it after fitting, it looks the tits but dont wanna risk power loss.
You gotta floor it in first right up to the limiter then dump the clutch and let the revs drop as fast as poss, and you'll get a lil spit of flame out the left hand tailpipe ;)
Car was standard running 192bhp yes, to get 211bhp i had cams, decat and yozzasport exhaust and matched inlets with PTFE gaskets to suit.
Induction setup is standard airbox with Panel filter and heatwrapped, slight gains to be had from Induction kit but its alot of money/hassle, best speaking...
If you take the primary cat off you'll regret it lol, i have enough trouble with only taking the secondary off, but damn it would sound nice!
I've got no centre box on my system ( yozzasport ) and thats loud enough, can even spit a lil blue flame out the back on rare occassions :p
It was the 16v model, didnt go mad on it like you intend.
Manifold, induction, heat wrapping, remap etc.
If you could source cams to fit the 1.2 thats your best bet for most effective power gains.
I admire the determination, i was the same when i had my 1.4 clio, only managed about 105bhp for 2k out of that though :(
Biggest problem is going to be finding parts for that engine, i.e. uprated head gasket.
Seeing as theres little demand for tht sort of kit for the 1.2s.
Apparently the...
Must b white cars then, never get drip marks.
If you use AutoGlym aqua wax right after you can apply it when wet and then buff it off, perfect finish for a 10 minute job!
