Yeah it was the washer :) Ill post up a picture tomorrow hopefully if the second washer arrives to do the other side (thought id do it to prevent any future knocking and to make it look even more OEM)
Hey, Yes I did :) thanks for your help! Got the nut undone finally, had to call in a favour from my mate who's a para and my girlfriends dad (quite a large chap) to undo the nut as a air gun just span it and I had no hope! Eventually the nut undid and I put on the washer, the MK2 knocking fix...
Will hopefully put up tommorow when I find my phone cable :) sorry guys! SRPd the roof with three layers yesterday as well as the whole car, safe to say the whole cars very shiny now as is the roof. Ordered some extra gloss protection to put on top next time I SRP the car for extra protection! I...
The top bolt on my suspension mount needs taking off for the knocking fix washer but it's way too tight to undo!
Can I just take this to a garage and have them use an impact gun to remove the nut? Im using the allen key in the top as mentioned
Thanks
Haha T-Cut is actually very useful, at removing scratches from CD's ;) Will get pics in the morning daylight I guess it wouldn't be much good pics in the dark!, the cracking is very slight only noticed it a couple of days ago when looking very closely waiting for someone.
Definitely cracking...
Got a weird question, my roof doesn't look very shiny? Looks kinda dull and I want to add some shine to it and protect the paint as it has a few tiny cracking spots appearing :( Would like to make the roof shiny and try and avoid the cracking getting worse or even better mend it so there's no...
Really? I thought it'd be more a product to use that'd make it shinier and restore the gloss while also protecting the paint, I was looking earlier at Autoglym extra gloss protection?

Take it to an independent ;) How'd you take the clock out? Does it just pry out then? I guess it could just be like a tom tom that you'd buy separately, with a remote control and a fancy mounting? Not too sure really never been in or seen a tom tom clio!
Ah see mines out of warranty now, 55 plate mk3 :( Theres a cheap one on ebay too only 60 quid all in with postage but I can't spend that right now!

Ah that's cool, if its literally a case of buying the screen unit and having it plug and play with a bluetooth remote then that might be on my shopping list sometime! I assume it works with the standard CD player etc too?
Got a rubber hockey puck for that, neat trick I was told! Works well, it just seems to really struggle to lift the wheels off the ground sometimes and wasn't sure why, was resisting trying to put too much strength on it just incase but think ill try again later with alot more strength on the jack!
Ah okay so it's normal, its this jack:

Just wanted to know if its normal, I can get it to lift one side up just the amount of effort it takes seemed different to what I thought it'd be! Didn't know...
Really interested in this project :) I think someone gave a list of parts needed somewhere on here before? I believe you need a GPS receiver/antenna too for the satnav? Appears you need buttons etc too, look at this ebay...
Hey guys,
Got a 1.5 tonne draper trolley jack for christmas from my girlfriends parents, and it seems to really struggle to lift the car up?
Having never had a trolley jack I don't really know how much work is involved in lifting the car so is it normal to have to put a fair bit of strength...
I have a mk3, that's what I meant by saying I thought the bonnet was only for mk2 but a few mates keep telling me to get it checked :s
Would be handy to know if my car did have any recalls on it though
Anyone know a good place to check if theres any recalls against my clio?
People keep telling me about recalls for bonnet catches etc but I thought it was only for a MK2?
Thanks
Ethan
Looked at doing the oil change (again) and decided I didn't have time (after sitting on cliosport for an hour when I could have been doing it), began to think about cleaning it but decided it doesn't deserve it until my suspension knockings fixed. Waited for the suspension washer to arrive but...
