Got a Parrot Asteroid. Got so much potential but let down by software at moment. Quite buggy still but by no means awful. Likewise, the google maps app on it has no navigational feature....yet.
H&R FTW! :)
Nope never really found out how it stripped but one of the locking nuts had it's first thread full of totally galled up aluminium. Every time I test fitted a bolt more aluminium shavings kept coming out. I guess it's just a case of over time the threaded hole got more and more worn...
Seeing the photos of the car all packed up reminded me...you haven't got the handle from the jack knocking around your garage have you? :)
p.s should look like this from what i can gather...
Well, it's been a while since I last updated this thread.
Unfortunately, not much progress in terms of the further improvements I want to make, but some good maintenance going on.
Following the HID kit and brake cooling fitting, when I came to put the wheels back on, as I wrote above, I found...
V6clo : Does your car get up to temperature quickly / at all on a cold day on a motorway cruise?
I had shocking MPG, turned out the thermostat washer/seal had dislodged...lots about it on v6clio.net
Alpine did do a display&stalk adaptor, I've got one in the Vee. Expensive but good bit of kit.
For the OP, Parrot haven't released any hands-free adaptor at all for the Asteroid yet, although apparently it's "in the works". I've got that Headunit in the 172, again brilliant bit of kit. I'm not...
Well, it's been so long since I posted an update that I struggled to find my thread!
Anyway, with Christmas and some V6 expenses, I put some little mods to the 172 on hold until now.
This week a few nice little presents turned up for her...

Along with some...
Guys,
First off, no hate. I've read the threads about MOTs, blinding people etc.
I want to put a HID Kit on my dipped beam, so they're in projector lenses. I'm going 35W and 6000k, so nothing crazy there.
This is really a question for people who've purchased kits. There seems to be two main...
Lol, actually I just answered my own question.
It seems to be a version with French labelling and instructions, not aimed at French cars as I initially thought.
Hi.
My car started to reek of fuel, especially at standstill / slow speed and was particularly noticeable if I had cabin blowers on.
Mine turned out to be perished O-Rings on the fuel line connector into the fuel rail. Only a small leak but it was vaporising on the hot engine block and...
Hi PH1 Fwend,
Hope i'm not teaching you to suck eggs, but the feature is normally known as AF (alternative frequency), no option in the menu to disable it?
Haha, I've learnt to keep a sharp eye out, didn't know JRS182's reg number but figured it must be him. Didn't see yours there Chris!
I was up there twice, once early morning and then again about 13:30 for an hour or so.
We should all book same track day next year :)
