Honest answer I don't know as I never managed to get it to happen when I could run round the back of the car to find out.
Nothing noticeable from the cabin when it happened though.
For what it's worth I was having exact same problem as OP.
I swapped the front O2 sensor (lambda) for one off a scrap car. This didn't cure it so I went off on a route of HT leads etc etc
Nothing worked so I bit bullet and bought a new Bosch lambda. There was always a O2 sensor fault showing...
You were parked up last night (28th) and still there when we left for the airfield in the morning. Spotted a Cliosport tax disc holder.
Who was it? Looked good apart from the Saharan rain residue :)
This sounds exactly like my problem, ph1 172 also.
So far I've changed coil pack, HT leads, spark plugs and front o2 sensor (i also got this fault on RS Tuner).
Have you got to the bottom of it yet?
Guys,
I've been struggling with an intermittent misfire on the 172 Ph1 for a few weeks.
I've swapped the plugs, HT leads and coil pack for brand-new Renault items without success. The only thing left to change is the pre-cat Lambda but I'm doubtful this is the cause, unless someone thinks...
Hi Guys,
I'm having a nightmare with an intermittent misfire. Have checked the usuals, injectors seem fine, HT leads intact, strong spark from the plugs (NGK) etc etc
I have an RSTuner and that had a logged Front O2 Sensor Fault. I cleared it and it hasn't come back yet (but the misfire hasn't...
Could be conincidence mate. I drove my car to Heathrow no problem, left it in the car park 2 days and when I came back I now have an intermittent misfire.
So it can and does happen.
We were parked on the circuit, beyond the end of the pits towards the 1st corner
Pretty crap position tbh, but it did mean I got a lap of Goodwood when leaving :race:
Was a bit slippery mind!
Was CL10 VG or similar. Saw him too I think he was at Gaydon too but didn't get a chance to say hi.
Didn't see you there Shaun. As I was coming up to the Rolls Royce roundabout both Sam (illiad) and Ben (Mars) happened to be coming the other way so we all ended up entering in a row. Chances of...
This is true Nick, progress has been made but not written up. Changed the seats for some Corbeau Sportline RRBs ;)
Thinking of going a bit more track oriented now, got the sprinting bug after driving a mate's car in an event the other week.
Aaaaahhhhh.....funny that I wondered where the...
Hi GUys,
I have full comp. insurance on both my 172 and V6 (obviously). This allows me to drive other cars but only with 3rd party insurance.
I have a Seat Leon i'm trying to sell. It is currently SORN and uninsured. If I re-tax the car, can I legally drive it using my comprehensive insurance...
I've got 2 front seats out of a 172 ph1 for sale at the moment. See here : http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?636446-172-Ph1-Half-Suede-Front-Seats
Could be a nice upgrade for you.
You can have a go at fixing it yourself if you're handy at all :

Otherwise, there's ebay people offering refurb services (basically doing what's in the guide).
Hi mate,
ITBs are going to be awesome.
The 'code' on your numberplate will be the BS reference which is required by law if your number plates are to be legal.
I have this too sometimes so interested if anyone has any clues.
As blipping the throttle brings it back down to normal idle, I've always presumed it's a sticky throttle body so the butterfly valve isn't closing fully.
I find it happens most often when moving along in traffic, so only very...
