So for anyone looking in the future. In my specific case it turned out to be the Airbag ECU. No idea why, no sign of anything on the unit itself. Perhaps a dry solder joint or something?
Replacing the Airbag ECU and programming it in to suit fixed the issue and airbag lines show sensible...
Hi All,
I've got an issue with an airbag + Service light showing.
I have Clip and have connected it to analyse the airbag ECU.
I have multiple errors that won't clear :
Code 74 - front airbag circuit 2, passenger open circuit
Code 65 - front seat position sensor circuit, driver short to...
I think the micro switch is there so that if you sit really close to the wheel (like most women let's face it) then the airbag doesn't deploy with 100% force.
Love this car, spent so much time on it (especially the full interior conversion, never again). It had a roll cage and harnesses in it when it left my ownership! You should also sort the brake ducts, there's pipes on the back, but no hole through the arch liners, was going to do it but car sold...
Hi lads,
Thanks for your advice, in reality most of time spent will be gaming, so think I'm going to go the Z170 route with a 6700K.
Other than the built in water-cooling block, anyone know the difference between ASUS Maximus Hero and Formula versions?
Can anyone give me a bit of advice re my question above? Also in either x99 or z170 what is considered the best ATX motherboard? Or eatx which will fit in a Phanteks Evolv case (264 wide max)? Thanks. So much to get head around!

Hi guys.
Been out of the PM scene for a good few years but looking to build up a machine shortly.
I'm really unsure between x99 or z170.
Machine will mainly be used for gaming, but also some 3D modelling, rendering etc.
Money's not really a factor, but I'd like to go with the motherboard...
The original guide is on v6 forum but I also added a version on here (I wrote it). Not sure if the guy who posted it over at Cliodci got the full photos etc. (can't check at mo).
The original mosfet I used is discontinued but the one above should be fine.
I think most, if not all, of the OEM specification CS seats have custom fabrications underneath and are not easy to install. Only the "aftermarket" CS seats from Recaro themselves seem to allow easy "bolt on a subframe" installation.
I think the 4+ deal changed from including the servicing package even if you paid cash to only including servicing if you nought through their finance on the 1st Jan 2014.
Caused some confusion when booking my megane in for 1st service this week.
You should be able to download the original 4+...
Is an awesome car, or was at least. That classifieds ad is from the person I sold it on to. Don't think he did much to it as he didn't hold on to it for long.
Wondered if anyone might know where this car is now?
It was Nickson's, then mine and then I sold it to another member on here. I understand he sold it on shortly after (in favour of an Evo).
I think the new owner was a member too.
Would be interested to know where its gone and what's...
I don't believe so Jack. Not easily anyway but I guess where there's a will there's a way. From memory there's no mounting points that the phase 2 airbag can mount on to. Obviously this is pretty critical and a MAJOR safety concern.
