If it won't let you continue without default router, set it to anything.. it's not like any traffic is going to be going outside of your subnet so it will never be a problem.
DNS same again.. put any IP in.
Yep, you know me and linux and even I haven't bothered. :D
Mainly because 99% of the videos I play are fine on the PS3, it has an inbuilt web browser, itunes etc.. and on the rare occasions that it doesnt have what I need I have a PC and a laptop.
Shocking waste of an IP range there ;) :P
I would have went with:
PS3 1
192.168.1.1
255.255.255.252
PS3 2
192.168.1.2
255.255.255.252
But I guess that's just being pedantic as you are not technically wasting anything lol :P
Yes, sort of lol
Personally I wouldn't bother as the hardware is not fully unlocked (by Sony) hence linux can't take advantage of its power.
Plus the limited ram in the PS3 makes it far from an ideal.
Ye, if you wanna lan party just connect them with a crossover.. or am I over simplifying this ? more than 2 ps3's would require networking hardware but 2 should be fine.
Re: So The f**king PS3 Packed In!!!!!
Thats weird ?
I logged into a mates PS3 with my PSN account and it remembered my score, that I was on level 56 and even remembered the classes I had set up.
I couldn't get my head round the literature on the official CCNA course.. their training material overcomplicates everything and the way they word certain things is shocking.
So I had a little search and I found this.. this guy explains it the way it should be done... once you 'get' it, it is...
I don't see the need for making them layer 3 TBH. There isn't really much configuration you need on the devices.. simple layer 2 devices would suffice, thats all I use and they are rock solid.
They say they are not supported using extension leads... but they do work just fine although steer clear of surge/filtered ones. I have two and at each end they are plugged into an extension and still get a really fast connection. I would only go with the 200mbit (stupid marketing people, they...
Exactly what I was going to say. :approve:
As a side note though, I use the powerline adaptors and they are fantastic and have worked flawlessly non-stop for 3-4 months now !
Me too.. wtf thought my PS3 was borked !! stupid IW idiots.. grrr... i'm already having withdrawals from not playing it for a week !!!
Finally sit down to have a game and this s**t happens !!! gRRRrRRRr
This is so ghey !!!
^^ I have a Fat boy 60GB.. left the MW2 disk in when I updated (it actually hasn't been out since MW2 launch day but that's a different story ;)).. no probs with the update at all.
Just internet BS as previously stated..
Ah I see.
It looks like you would need to convert it to another format or at the very least convert the audio to make it work with the PS3. It's probable the audio codec is not included/compatible.
