I forgot about the brakes in the 197 which again are much better than a 1*2. People on here are so defensive about their cars, I loved my 172 and my 182 they were good cars, but the 197 is an infinitely better car.. try one, you might find you like it !

Side by side against a 172 cup up to 130mph, I was about 10 car lenths ahead. Maybe not raped ;) but certainly faster :P

Having owned a 197 for a year now, and before that a 182 and before that a 172 I can give you a pretty good idea of what the differences are. Less low down grunt than a 172/182 and you don't really get a kick at 4.5krpm, but side by side against a 172 cup (considered the fastest of the 1*2's)...

I concur with sn00p, that would be my action.. would give you much more information as to what is happening and what might be triggering the problem.

There is an internal fuse.. but its not serviceable and if you open it you are likely to shock yourself as the caps stay charged for yonks.. Buy a new PSU, I don't know if you can even get 300w PSU's now lol

No logs then.. cause there wasnt a kernel dump or anything.. and like I said I don't think your problem is software related anyway. I would say your main culprits would be. 1) Power supply 2) CPU/Overheating 3) Possibly faulty ram although this is unlikely 4) Motherboard fault. with 2 and 4...

Then you can pretty much rule out a software problem.. does it BSOD or just freeze/reboot ?
