I've just posted in the wanted section.... but hopefully this will reach out to others who may be able to help We're in desperate need of a passenger side driveshaft for a Ph2 clio... has to have 22 splines on the gearbox end as we're actually only after the tripod on the end. The tripod has...

Winter Build Update - March '14 We set ourselves quite a task with the changes we wanted to make over the winter, but we are now getting close to completion. Ryan’s many hours of wiring are very nearly over and all of the little fabrication jobs are pretty much complete. These have included...

Ahhh dude.... that is madness. Good job the cogs didn't fly in another direction and in to another car! Just hope this curse doesn't spread to us, due to map ours in the next few weeks.

In that case, just make up 2 small wires and connect a 12v battery to the connection on the top of the tank, it's easy enough to figure out which one is the 12v input. You don't need to get another plug for the sake of 2 wires, just supply some voltage and it'll pump.

If you disconnect the fuel line at the rail, then switch ignition on (not engine of course), it should pump it out.

Yes, you've made it more clear now. We've used a similar method for adjusting camber; measure the ride height when the car's on the ground. Then with the wheel off, jack up the lower arm until the hub is in the same relative position. Ensuring all weight is held at each corner rather than at the...

Pete.... let me get this straight. In order to measure ride height you're jacking the car up, taking the wheels off, dropping it on to blocks or something and then measuring from the ground to the centre of the hub???? I totally disagree with this method, there are so many innacuraccies in...

Pete, don't you mean measure the centre of the hub nuts to the eyebrow? The relationship between ground and centre of wheel will only change with tyre pressure...

Yehh, there's more to it than that. The trumpet on the front bumper previously used for a cold air feed will now be the source of the incoming air, with a pipe running from there to the bulkhead fitting. We'll wrap it in aluminium tape too, so it should remain as cool air when it gets to the...

The preparation for the new season continues and we’ve made a bit more progress with the winter build. One of the most time consuming tasks on hand is the wiring; the dash assembly now includes a hinged panel containing all of the necessary dials and switches, with the ignition and starter now...

Chase Racing Clio Build Blog (TinTops Entry)

Cheers! We've tried to use our combined, perhaps limited knowledge to the best of our abilities to develop a car that's competitive without being ridiculously overpriced. Hopefully this season we'll really start to see the hard work pay off... the aim being to collect some trophies of some sort!

Thanks for the feedback. All the things we've been doing have been with the aim of improving the handling and so far, based on the data it's worked..... Prior to roll centre mods we saw 1.1g lateral on the traces, but after we saw 1.3g! And, when it comes to lap times we've been able to really...

Thanks T. We're aiming to be ready as soon as we can of course, but I think it'll be early march before we get it mapped. Would love to join you if we get it done by then though, not been to Oulton yet and really want to go! At the moment the plan is to stick with TinTops as it makes more...

Just a quick update on what we’ve been slowly chugging away with over the last month or so: One of the first items in our winter upgrade package is to change the bushes in the rear beam for spherical bearings. So, out comes the old and in goes the new, which has been welded in place prior to...

I was looking at those dash cams they use in Russia and thought...surely there's some products knocking about. One I found seemed pretty reasonable: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00E0ZJRYG/?tag=cliospnet01-21 It can be powered from USB like the GoPro's and will take up to 32gb SD cards. Also, it...

Pete. I'd really look at changing that camera position.... with the dark interior, the contrast is quite a lot and you can't see much of what's going on outside of the car. With our white interior, it's not a hell of a lot better tbh, but under most levels of light you can make the track out and...
