Im with you their Barryd, didnt think twice about the ugly little squared feather weighted tin can till i drove my mates, obviously got me hooked by the simply fact i want one! :cry: Although the 16v is a much better car i like the raw quicker drive of the 5 and thats down to being a boy racer...

Nah, no way. Other insurance company have to coff up mate, but i happen to have experience with this: My Dad reversed into my old Golf when coming out of the drive, and seriously dented the rear quater panel with the bumper of my step mums 4x4.:o But our local semi-retierd bodyshop garage man...

My 16v is coming up to its 72k service. How much has it cost you 16v owners? Mines in perfect running condition, no additional work needed, already had a cam belt change. Any feedback. Cheers

Of course its lighter, else it may as well be a shopping trolly with a steering wheel instead of a 16v slayer. :(

Still worth it if it does wear the gearbox, driveshaft, blarr, blarr, blarr, a little more than it would otherwise, and i think if theres any tuning company u can trust its BB for sure. I want mine Turbod to dude. Im really glad a few people are doin it, hope the price comes south a little...

Ive got a 16v which i really like but im the kinda guy that when ive got one thing, i want the other, if u catch my drift. So im pondering buying an R5 some time in the VERY distant future, but ill probably want my 16v back when ive got that, as i cant afford to run two cars like some people...

Yeah, i reckon that they will make it look Rally styled, but i dont know if thats a good thing people. Still no one can help me out with some pics of similar 16" wheels on a valver? Ive looked on the 16v gallery, any other 16v picture galleries on the web?

There 6 spoke. Look good alone but not sure how theyll look actually on the car, cause most people have wheels similar to OZ Super League, many thin spokes. Havent seen any Clios with wheels similar to the Speedline Comp 2 wheels though. Any one help me out?

Well, if u want performance from ur 16v at all costs people. Make some serious holes in your air box. I know a guy that did it and claims it could do 0-60 in sub 7s. I believe him to, cause that car was faster than mine. Problem was that the car only lasted a couple of months after carring...

Nahh. Think its just electrical connections are damp from snow being stuffed in the grill. Ive disconnected most of the wires and dosed them in WD40, everthings fine now, touch wood. :devilish:

Whats the general concencious on the quality and value for money from having ur clio serviced by Renault? How much do you reckon itll cost for a full service on my 16v, just the basics like oil change, plugs, timing, etc?

Story so far: Yesterday waiting for a lorry to wheel spin up a slope for about 2 minutes. Tryed to move off when it managed to grip, and realised the engine wasnt on. :o So turned the ignition over and was fine till it cut out 10 seconds later. Managed to park it up with engine sounding...

Simple mate. I think theres two screws under the bonnet which hold the vent in place, so unscrew these, disconnet it and paint it. I think just silver paint looks better, depends on the colour. My mate had a Williams blue 16v and painted the vent silver and had silver transfers on the doors...
