All sorted. Turned out to be a dirty earth contact between the battery tray and chassis.
Must have disturbed it when fitting the engine mounts a few weeks back. Ran for roughly 500 miles without probs up to this so strange how these things just happen lol
Cheers for the help folks
As in jump starting Russ? I havent tried yet but hoping to Sunday.
Started to pee it down so never managed to check the earth strap or anything else
Replaced the battery and no change.
Gave the starter a crack and rocked the car in gear and nothing either.
Any other suggestions? It was fine when i got it out on the morning, by evening it was dead :S
I'll have a look at the battery first cheers.
Strange how there must have been a cut in the feed tho especially if everything else seems to work electric wise. I tried the lights and they were fine although that wasnt cranking it over.
Went to start the car at dusk, turned the key and all i got was a clicking noise, wouldnt turn over.
Had a look under the bonnet and got someone to start it and the clicking noise is coming from the relay box and starter motor. Im sure on two occassions there was some sparks on the lines of...
Re: K-tec Gearbox Mount Problem
Going by the above pictures, iv put the outer 2 bolts through the top and screwed the nuts via underneath as per the stock Renault mount.
Does it matter which way the bolts / nuts face ? :o
Yes on the passenger side not the drivers.
Its practically daylight, the lights are on for visability rather than for being able to see so pointing out the lights means nothing.
Its not dark its advanced dawn and if you look 3/4's of the Clio is hanging out into lane one so wouldnt be covering the drivers side headlight.
If you listen you can hear the tyres a bit and if you see to the latter part of the film theres a few sparks.
How do the press know the Clio...
I was speaking to a guy who's mate drives for them. His meal times are ProPlus and coffee. Anything Irish pulling a fridge tends to be non stop lol
Sawyers as in Irish fridges? How did he manage to find the time to speak to you? ;)
The trucker is in the middle lane i think?. HGV's unlike car drivers never hog the middle lane so i reckon he's seen the car, moved out to overtake but in the process of overtaking the woman driver has...
Sorry matey i was meaning shakey dogbone mount poster number 82 haha
They seem good like. Just make sure the engine mount (engine side) sits right in the middle of the Ktec mount bolt as Danny said so as not to cause any unnecessary vibration.
I managed 120k on original stock mounts and...

Also your dog bone is the twisted type yeah ?
Iv got the uprated Ktec engine mount and gearbox mount but not the...
The truck is hardly effected. If anything it proves the opposite of what your suggesting.
This example is of a 2 tonne Merc hitting the side the driver is sat at IN THE DRY.
Half the weight, add a wet road and then make contact at the blind side aka as per this thread vid, then theres...
Not if its a digi tacho ;)
Theres a few different ways to get around it still.
Also the lift axle is only as good as the driver but yeah in general it means the truck is supposedly running light or empty
Just use a Renault dealer but shop about. Its a misconception that their all crazy priced. Their prices all vary.
I got quoted 470 iirc for the cam and aux change. That aint bad at all.
I got a quot from a very popular specialist and the difference, with a couple of extra's added onto the...
