    Throttle Pedal Sticking?

Its a right annoying problem when it sticks. Nothing worse especially in town traffic with a aftermarket zorst lol

What's the best performing exhaust for a phase 1 172?

Yozza race is meant to be LOUD. If you can live with that go for it, decent quality

    Throttle Pedal Sticking?

Nearly there mate. When the car idles high or sticks, open the bonnet with the engine running and you'll see the TB and black cable holder. Turn the black holder anti-clockwise. If it stops the reving and there was a gap (repeat a few times) then its probably either the cable or the...

Problem with Pipercross Viper ... VERY LOOSE

Point the CAF at the entrance to the Viper. Connecting it up just restricts them. My metal end was also loose fitting. Ended up taking it off when matched with the above CAF set up. Its not a issue tho as its only a trim bit to connect the CAF to

    Throttle Pedal Sticking?

Nah mate you dont need to tweek the pedal or anything, just wait till its holding the revs up then look in to see if its stuck. Kind of hard to explain lol I'll post you a picture up tomorrow on what to look for and of a dodgy springed TB and the wear

182 manifold on 172 touches the antiroll bar

franx, they dont all do it mate although agree, very common. Its usually just a sign of worn mounts or dog bone. Replacement dogbone and re adjusting the mounts should cure it unless its bent

I have no centre silencer, is it making any difference?

Best way to describe the average silencer is by this pic. This is a part built one with the sound deadening material removed. Under the wire stuff, the bore of the pipe is usually drilled with hundreds of mini holes. Back boxes can be the same as the above or like the below pic...

    Fitted a ph-1 airbox

Could have been down to the map ? Did you reset the ecu at all? Idea of a IK is to get more air in, more air in, in theory could change the cars response as the fueling would maybe change, ie leaner thus slower ? Just a thought lol

I have no centre silencer, is it making any difference?

haha exactly the same. A silencer works external to the pipe not inside it like a cat. You roll a golf ball down a silenced and it still gets to the other end Only reason to ditch a silencer is for noise and weight.

    Fitted a ph-1 airbox

I was the other way round. Had the stock ph1 on and ditched it for a Viper and the Viper felt a hell of a lot better. Key with IK's imo is not to connect up cold air feeds as this limits the amount of supply.

    K-tec mounts

Fitted these mounts a couple of weeks back and very impressed. Just waiting on the new Ktec dog bone now. One pointer. Theres only a bolt holding the upper mount in place ie, no casing that it slots into like the Renault one. If there was any sort of serious heavy front end impact could...

182 manifold on 172 touches the antiroll bar

You shouldnt need to mess about with the manifold, knocking dents in it and shoving wrap round. I got my dent taken out back to round and its fine. Never knocked once and the cars currently on the original dog bone with 120k's under its belt. The gap is tight yeah but imo you only need some...

    Fitted a ph-1 airbox

The gain you think you feel will probably be down to the noise and the fact theres no caf's connected

    Removing injectors

Undo the 2x 10mm bolts and pull out by hand, no need for oils and lube Avoid WD40 around any rubber seals, mounts etc etc. It perishes it apparently

How long to remove and fit inlets?

LOL @ the hero times. First timer doing this and you'd be talking in hours not minutes. Its only easy when you know what your doing. The bolt near the pulleys is a right barstwerd

    Silenced Decat

Still a straight though pipe exactly the same. Its only full cat that has any material in the actual pipe

How long to remove and fit inlets?

Inlet or plenum? 5 mins for the plenum, probably about a hours labour for the inlet
