I'd rate the 182 mani conversion. I found it gave more mid range pull. The messing with cats is worth it alone if your cars a long term keeper

Just change it anyway, its a good upgrade especially with e/mounts

Majority of folk the dash lights will end up coming on. Dont like the noise of a full decat? get a silenced one. Sports cats are not worth it imo. Better to stick with the full cat for all the ''gains'' your going to see

Dont forget the door handles to match ;)

Their around the 6kgs mark from memory, might even have been mid 5's Got the exact figure with and without tyres wrote down somewhere

Support the engine (guessing you have already) and just totally remove the mount / top cam cover part so to gain access to the back bolt.

Its going in this coming week fella :) On a stock engine you'll probably get more power with 421's but the headline costs will be more. You wont find many on here who will recommend you Pipers with them being re-grinds. I can only praise them as my motor ran very well with them.

Cant argue with the results youve had from them mate. Not sure if your results are typical 428 or more above average tho..? - For such a middle of the road cam there aint too much info kicking about on here

Its not about how good the car is, it goes much deeper than that. RS Fords have a massive cult following. The RS scene is total marmite. Folk either understand it or they dont.

Just seen your topic mate lol Pipers were awsome for me, torque was unreal (175lb/ft stock TB set up) although i was running them in conjunction with the usual bolt on mods inc headwork etc so what percentage part the cams were playing in the mix im not sure..

My local Renault dealer charges £490 for cam and aux belt kit and change. Ask me later in the week if its been timed right tho lol

If you can get them to fit et38 would be good as it gets you a wider track. No idea if 182's can take a et38 tho. Ph1 and 2 172's can

IMO folk have totally over estimated just how difficult sticking one of these engines into a Clio would be. IIRC the box only grazes the chassis leg? Theres folk on the Ford forums hacking FWD cars to death and sticking all sorts of clobber under the hood or in the boot lol Id guess the...

Why didnt you just have a new engine fitted for extra peace of mind ;) As already said totally pointless changing the water pump unless its a really high miler, latter of which is just my own opinion. If your water pump was to cause a problem its no 'biggy' anyway as its on the auxiliary...

Depends what you mean by worth it mate. IK's are fine for complementing other mods. Good air flow is important. Fit one on its own and expect a noticeable increase in power? nonsense, no one can really notice 1 bhp

The vibration is hardly noticeable although any time a girls been in the car theres always a nasty damp patch ;) j/k

Why do you want the silencer out? Its a straight pipe the same, in other words isnt restricting your performance like a cat does
