yeah, based in sydney. Are you aware of the renault clio sport website in oz? went out sunday gone with 5 172 owners for a thrash. Top fun.

tumbleweed - what did they do to the 3rd gear to solve the problem of crunching? I had the same problem and they said they noticed it too, would need it in for a bit longer and would look at it when they repair a leaking "something" in the gear box. keen to hear what they id to yours though.

I have a very similar experience of knocking under heavy accelerating in the wet - have taken it to the dealers, however they said the engine mount was ok. I reckon they havent got a cleu and am taking it to another dealership.

Ive got it on my 172 as well. MY dealer said that it was for the cars in europe and their cruise control - though i have heard many things about it.
do you find that extra bit ever brings more petrol out or is it just there?????
just re-read - jerking from a standstill quickly sounds like something out of a soft p**n mag...............not that ive ever read one of those!!!!!!!well, not soft p**n anyway;)
anyone experienced a squeaking noise when jerking from a standstill quickly - or when i have the breaks on and people get out of the car.
thought it was suspension, but really not sure....
