Haha I played these before, and loved them. I just don't have much time to play games now so I want to get through it, not spend 30 attempts doing the same bit. I got past the first taurus demon and that was enough for me. Might get better later on, I just don't have the patience (also Dragon...
Yeh these "free" games basically mean "re-mortgage your house unless you want to get shafted". I think there is a massive tide of consumer resent towards them too...no advantages for us, only games companies. The whole model sucks!
Not sure mate, I'll have to have a butcher's once I get home...unless I try what several have suggested and try taking the new splitter out and disconnecting the Sky+ box from the phone line, as it was setup before?
I asked the engineer and he said the splitter didn't have a filter in, so might be right.
So at the moment the configuration is:
Wall point into splitter
Splitter 1. goes to modem/router and Splitter 2.
Splitter 2. goes to phone and Sky+ box
Jay_G bit confused by your post when you say...
Not sure what the point of this game is now...unless truly gearing up for some mass scale RPG esque come RTS come FPS hybrid. The idea sounds a bit daft but with Bioware working on it, I have some faith (although their specialism isn't in FPS or online...)
I unplugged it, does that count as a proper reboot though?
Have done a bit of reading and some suggest you don't actually need a phone line to connect Sky+, does anyone know if this is true? If not what else would it be used for?!
In hindsight, the engineer was rubbish and seemed like he just...
I have Sky+ through my phone line and seems to be messing with my wi fi...what are the alternative connections then? (sorry to hi-jack thread slightly)
Hi
I've gone from having Sky broadband and phone (both worked great) to getting Sky TV installed TV. The TV works fine, but the engineer put an extra splitter on my phone line for my Sky+ box and now the wi fi connection to my PC isn't working. PLEASE HELP - as I need the internet to work from...
Will any of you be considering Halo 4? Always surprises me how many people dismiss Halo because of the non-realistic setting (although the Halo universe is very realistic itself) yet complain the COD format is tired and boring. For me each Halo game has pushed the boundaries, evolved the...
Thing is it is only some publishers that are doing well, retailers in general are not - only massive online e-tailers like Amazon and Play do well due to the massive volumes on small profits, and can secure bigger discounts from the publishers when buying due to the massive quantitites. I don't...
Are there rumours of one of these coming out with a larger screen? That's what I am waiting for really...
Or should I consider a Samsung Galaxy tab instead?
The thing about the PSP is that most the games are stripped down versions of PS3 games...aiming for a more mature market, and most of the older gamers would rather just pplay on a big TV at home. The Nintendo handhelds are more suitable for younger gamers and have some really good titles you...
Fair play....looks like MS will get theirs out first again then, plus with Sony's ultra late arrival to market and higher costs on the PS3 (it was a loss leader for ages, and might still be in terms of the console itself), the series of failed PSPs and general Sony losses - could this be their...
Also it is moving from bonus DLC when buying new/pre-order to now you are missing essential in-game features if you don't buy new/pre-order...so by the time you've bought a second hand game plus the DLC it's more expensive than buying new.
Recent example: Batman Arkham City missing Catwoman DLC.
No idea?! Until prices are reduced then wouldn't even consider buying one at the moment - especially when it's only a digital copy so no re-sale value either. Consumers lose on all fronts!
Also, for sales of games to increase on XBL (or PSN) they need to make the prices cheaper than in store, not more expensive! Paying £45 for a game which can be bought for £20 or so on Amazon does not make a great business case.
For me grpahics at the moment are realy good anyway, and shouldn't be the focus for next gen (although of course I hope they will be!). For me things like draw distances and pop-up are elminated...on things like Battlefield I don't want to notice textures popping in or even layers...I want to...
Great idea...although can't seem to get it to sync properly! It's done some docs buts not all my photos...although capacity wise it says I've used 4.5gb so must be full of something, I can't see them when I go onto the site. Anyone else had issues with it working properly?
Same mate, if they did that then they would be onto a winner. Can't really justify it right now as I have a PC and a GS2...this isn't different enough from my handset.
But presumably you can only play android games - and how many AAA android games are there??! Very few, if any at the moment.
I can't see MS or Sony letting this device ever letting this console get any foothold on the market.
I doubt this thing will ever get going, from the simple fact that unless the market was big enough, no developers will bother with it, and therefore no games.
I don't mind paying £90 (although rather not!) if a game grips me and I can play it for months. What I resent is 'premium' basically meaning 'normal' becomes sub-premium, and they try to make premium normal (if you get what I mean!). I would rather just pay a couple £ a month or something and...
Yeh exactly, even in BC2 felt the range of guns was better balanced, and each one had different characteristics...and usually got better or had new features as you ranked higher. In BF3 there's too many weapons and don't know which ones are better or worse really...although I do like unlocking...
I heard a while ago there would be a BC3...I am guessing that BF4 will on this generation of consoles though - it can't be next gen surely, as the beta is in 2013, and it will still be current generation!
I tried Krispwee but it is a shoddy piece of software and never connects my phone properly. I have tried several times. Even if I am sucessful I agree upgrading phone software shouldn't be so difficult, should all be automatic.
Think I have another year to go...by which time my phone will...
