Wow 9000 rpm thats impresive is that with standard valves as I have had mega probs with them when I had my sadev dog box, when over reving the engine by hitting the wrong gear:dapprove:
Cat cams 5502422 with wossner 12.6-1 compression ratio pistons.
I have another engine on the build same speck but with bigger valves and going to try some different camshafts 5502551, which have more lift, but similer timing. When I get this other one built it will prob be as far as we can go...
Got the car running today with the AT bodies and upto now it is a lot crispper and smoother ,throttle response is very good and they look mint. Also have fitted clio 197 injectors and they fitted really well just made some small spacers so that they fit correctly. the spray pattern is a lot...
Had a morning sorting all the extra vacum pipes and gas injector jets (my rally car run on LPG) all gone really well just drilled out the optional threaded holes and inserted some pipe fittings.
I really chuffed with how these throttle bodies are working out upto now.
Yes We use an remapable ecu so I would think that should be fine they do look like they will have a fantastic spray pattern which will be great at high revs:)
Removed my old itb's tonight and matched up and loosly boled AT on and they fit great, throttle cable works fine there is a slight size difference on the head port (as the port has bin made a little bigger)but some say that can help stop gasses reversing up, if you know what I mean
Debating weather to stick with 172 injectors or use 197 ones that I got a bit since. Basically need to know what cc both of them do does anyone know please?
Re: PH1 172 Track Car, abit special *ITB update*
We run loads of camber on the front and rear on our rally car when we are on smooth tarmac and it just goes round corners on rails and since that’s all you track day pu55ys ever do just go round, round, round all day on smooth tarmac that would...
Sorry to here that I just hope I don't have the same problem as you had. I'll let you all know my results in 2/3 weeks time when I have got the whole package together and sorted.
Yes I got them a week ago and at the moment they look very well engineered nice cnc machine work.
I spoke to someone from RS tunning about a Clio they were tunning did they get the power figures hey wanted?
Well After a lot of debaiting I have bought some of these throttle bodies and hope to get them put on in the next week. They have sent me straight and tappered ram pipes so hope to tune the car on both to see if there is any power difference. I need some new filters as I'm selling my old filters...
Yep that's me, First picture was after I had got it totally wrong and ended up doing a half spin only lost a couple of seconds there.
I have never known Croft so slippy, had really soft tyres on but just could not get any heat in to them. It dried out enough in the afternoon so that we could...
