Thats totally fine and normal. Mine were changed at stupidly low mileage after buying the car new.
There aint much pad on their and Renault like to tell folk to whip them off early
Do those GPS things also measure quarter miles times and 0-60? What exactly is the device and how much?
Sorry for sounding like something from the dark ages but never taken much notice of GPS :o
Must be true then.. :o
Ph1 airbox and uprated filter flows (iirc) 70% of what a Maxogen does according to one of the motorsport experts on here cant remember his name?. No induction kit on its own is going to give you raw figures
As much fun as you can have under the speed limit naturally :o
Nah seriously racing aint my thing. Built the car to bring it up to modern hot hatch standards and for overtaking ability with the odd quarter mile thrown in for good measure.
Would never have the balls to track it.
Back on...
Yes on a track. No good on the road unless its the battle of the brave, or stupid. Anyone can point and squirt on a road. To out doo someone on the road you need to be pushing well above the limits plus its not so much skill its other obstacles too.
For 2 to 3k you can build a Clio that can...
He's going to scream like a baby piglet if you show any tension down the opposite end of the bolt shaft. :rasp:
You need a chick with big muscles
Thank god for post number 23.
Its well worth modding the Clio to go faster. You only fail when you spend s**t loads on the wrong mods..
End of the day we dont all do track days.
I was forced to run 95 once and the car ran like a bag of s**t.
The 95 lovers reminds me of the 17'' wheel debate. Folk fit 17's and say it makes no difference to performance but as soon as they switch back down to 15's, different ball game ;)
One of the track car mags did a 4 page tester...
Im running headwork and mild cams and what K-Tec has said is spot on. Loads more torque but not really a increase in peak power.
TB's and cams should be in a different league to cams and headwork plus just about the same cost overall and less work fitting
Why whats wrong with that?
Thats including water pump at 70 quid and dephaser at £125 area.
Pretty good deal considering Birchdown is only 45 quid cheaper
I got quoted £745 including water pump and dephaser from my local R Dealer, £70 quid more expensive than Birchdown although they quoted for the non Genuine belt. With the genuine belt difference is roughly 45 sheets wasnt going to be worth a 300 mile trip and day off work :dapprove:
Strange how not even one texts come through tho :S
Mates were all raving about O2 and the recent deals. I used to be with them years back but always found it to be a bit of a budget service
Im on Orange and my girlfriends on O2. Shes been texting me but over roughly a 48 hour period i havent recieved one text!
Went round hers and she put a delivery report on and sent a text and it came back as pending.
Now iv been recieving texts from other folk and so has she plus we can call...
Make sure he has the right timing tools. If he has and youve searched all the bits you need to replace like x2 belt kits and tensioner then your on to a winner.....unlike the bloke doing it haha
To quote a old saying, usually if it sounds too good to be true it usually is!
Sounds like he's doing it for free as the parts wont be far off 250 alone. Hope he's got the right timing tools too
IMO if your thinking of fitting cams on their own and expecting huge gains forget it, they are a waste of time on a near stock engine unless its stage 1 of future plans. A lot of outlay and a lot of work when theres far far better options available.
If you want to be about the 200bhp area...
