    phs 1 172 with a phs2 fuel rail?

    The later ph1's had owt bolted on that was laying about the bit! So many different variations its unreal Never new until last week there was 2 different types of ''double'' cat, meaning 3 different ones on the ph1 in total.

    Yeah read this too but mine have been ok. No tapping or owt. Must have changed the design a bit? You wont get many who rate these cams but in terms of power theyve been very very good for me.

    Got mine direct from Piper for roughly the same price roughly 4 years back. In combination with other mods, final figure was 186bhp and 175 lb/ft on RS Tunings RR'd - The torque levels just about lower full ITB territory! The bad side see my dephaser topic lol

    Nah never did the solenoid test as where 99% sure its head wear as the noise comes directly from the top of the rocker cover.     Only way il find out i think is by getting the head open to see whats going on. Had a worrying suggestion of could be worn cam jounals also:cry: BTW Does anyone know if you can use 2nd hand lifters?

    Never knew they did 2 types of twin :eek: Mines defo from a ph1 as the car was bought new so wonder if your ones from a ph2 172 maybe? Very strange :S
