IIRC you can buy different centre bore spigot (sp?) rings for the 'leggra' range? well you can for the Super versions. If it was wrong you just buy the correct rings. Not sure if mk1 Clio share the same centre bores with the mk2's but i belive its 63. something on the mk2's? Might be a...

Bought a compression tester so will see what this shows if anything. Wonder if its also worth replacing the HT leads? The ones im running are knocking on 8 years old and were used after a unrelated missfire 3 weeks ago on the old leads.

Heres a comparison. Blue lines are the cat cams which a marked onto the Piper graph to show the difference. Top 2 lines are torque, bottom pair are BHP. Losses are massive up to 4.5 thou rpm especially the torque.

Headwork, inlets, 182 mani, zorst, Maxogen, lightend fly. Made 169 lb/ft peak vs Pipers 175 lb/ft - Peak figure dosent bother me but its the massive loss in made range i cant understand. Does this to you look like a problem rather than just the cams ?

Renault timing tools were used as it was them who fitted the cams lol (cheaper option amazingly) Whether its a tooth out....?

Been thinking, should Cat Cams be timed just to Renault spec (stock cams) or do they have their own spacific timing figures ?

Re: 551 bhp renault 5 Its a engine pushing serious limits. Its no disgrace and is to be expected if its had the odd fail. Folk will be asking what mpg it gets next haha

Make sure their round when you do find some. Their not the strongest wheel. I bought a set off here and 2 were bent. Bent one of my own a while back. My mate bent some of hers, all through normal driving
