Cups dont have lumbar support??, the 172 FF's and the 182's do so technically your right you might find the 182 seats better if lack of lumbar support is the issue, maybe??
Reclining aftermarket buckets would be better tho imo
Undo all the 10 mm bolts on the plenum front and 2 at the back. Unplug the sensors and thats about it. Kind of all explains its self as you tackle it :)
Gasket between head and inlet
Gasket between inlet and plenum.
Rubber rocker cover breather seal type gasket (172's)
Plenuim to TB, paper type gasket (ph1's)
Plenum to TB ph2 172 / 182 rubber ring (iirc??)
MPG in a Clio is usally very very good, far better than its rivels. should be in the mid to high 30's at least, in a 172 and 182 under normal driving.
Iv heard the 197's are thirsty.
Poor mpg could point to a problem with the lamdba sensors potentially
Yeah its just a lot easier taking the extra 3 bolts out rather than trying to jack the engine above the chassis mount.
I reckon Mattys about right. Probably just needs the engine pushing further back or forward.
If your getting mpg that bad you may aswell chop it in and buy a Scooby or Evo. Least you'll have the performance to match the mpg lol
20's in a Clio on normal driving. Thats shocking like
Whip the plenum off and see where its leaking from. If its the bolt seal it up, if its the rocker just leave it till next time you get a cam belt change
Go straight for the supercharger kit for 250 bhp out the box on a stock engine.
The mods youve listed is a hell of a lot of work with just about the same cash outlay with less BHP and a cap on any future potential.
My mate was looking at one last year in the hundreds but no idea of what exactly came with it or what condition etc
No idea what the going price for these are if you can find one
IIRC it fits but the chassis leg needs slightly modding gearbox side?
Quite suprised no ones had a go. Renault modders seem quite tame when it comes to engine conversions. Over on the Ford forum they'll lump owt into a mk3 Escort lol
What do you mean by loose? Rattling around loose or play ?
Have you put a new mesh gasket in?
I got sick of the spring kits and just permanently bolted the fecker up. 2 years and never had a prob.
Cambelt kit, auxiliary belt kit with tensioner and a replacement dephaser pulley pretty much covers it.
Never heard of anyone change a exhaust pulley in a routine belt change and never heard of these dampers, guessing you mean the spring tensioner?
