When I had trendlines I didn't think the support they gave was brilliant anyway, ended up changing them for buckets. From looks alone I'd say that there appears to be far cheaper seats than the recaros that offer better support for holding you in the right place. The trendlines were comfortable...
Didn't I see your car up for sale a few days ago? Anyway, recaros are the only seats that will add value to the car imo, however they won't add £1300! Why can't you hold out for a second hand pair?
I bought a cable off ebay a while back, only a simple thing. Plugs into the back of the stereo where the disk changer would connect. Then ran it into the glovebox so the ipod (or any other mp3 player) can plug in through the earphone socket. Probably not the last word in quality, but then who...

If you're going to keep it standard I'd say go for the Trophy. If you're planning on changing bits and bobs go for the 182ff. If you're planning on a track car or serious changes there's nothing wrong with a 182 cup.
Not anti-virus software, but I absolutely love Faronics Deep Freeze. Basically partitions your hard drive and protects the C drive where the operating system is. Everytime you reboot your system any nasty virus that may have got into it is removed. It's like setting a restore point every time...
