Dont agree with you there. Its the combination thats key imo. Best set up is one that keeps the curves of the intake track to a minimum, coldest part of the engine and like you said, good airflow.
2 out of those the Maxogen does straight out the box unlike the others on the market.
Best...
Another one here with a cable set up potentially interested when more details come out lol
At this rate us cable lot will out number the lecy TB boys lol
Im guessing this will need set up mapping wise once fitted ?
Theres been many years of development with the Nova's and Corsa's plus they have a engine from the home stable that bolts straight in, Clio's dont, the nearest being the 20v Vag lump.
You have to remember that modding the Clio Sports is still relatively new! Oldest phase 1's are only what, 9...
A Renault garage is a normal garage with a Renault franchise.
Renault garages sell genuine parts so your obviously going to pay more there. Service costs will also be more due to them being Renault trained staff and the overheads.
My Reanult garage has only let me down once, other than...
16 bhp down was from someone else who posted not the guy who started the topic ;) but for that example, what was it 16 bhp down from exactly? They dont run to book figure stock so that could mean anything unless theres a prior RR base figure as a guide.
Your right tho, 16 down from what ever on...
Standard ECU can run aftermarket cams without mapping but theres a difference between self adjusting / coping and altering the map to smooth it out and actually give gains?
Mapping session will iron out any lean and flat bits. Worth doing imo
Agree Ali, thats what you have to take them as.
Funny you should mention Star Performance. After i took the car to Dastek and was told there was something wrong i took it to Star and got basically the same RR result.
Had the car modded at GDi, claimed power figure but never saw the graph...
I found it ran better with a hand through it lol ;)
Nah was just showing the build. Back sponge bit wasnt in the filter at that time as i was in the process of gluing it in.
Filter got shifted on soon after this photo lol
I have to say, first RR i ever went to years back was Dastek and i got a spot on figure, torque, wheels and fly, for a stock car even if they did say my power was down , car running lean and wanted to by-pass the fuel regulator :o for X amount of quid
But
Those lads in the link...
I think you can turn the foam sort of inside out to gain access for cleaning.
My old one tore and so had to glue part of it and from memory this is how i gained access but yes the material is glued to the carbon housing.
Its not a great build like.
Not sure about that (see link) lol - Clearly must be the operator but twice? and on how many other cars? Very very poor

Worth trying to get cleaned out (do all 4) although sometimes they can be duds and you need to replace.
Replacements are 60 quid EACH from memory from Renault.
Theres quite a few on here, somewhere! lol
Annie had a 172. Theres the lad from Annan. A lad had a Cup i think then a V6, Col was in his user name i belive.
Black Turbo 182 was originally from down Cumbria (saw that at Kendal cruise a few years back) and there was another lad with a Cup...
