You shouldn't need spacers, I didn't on my 1.2 with 172 wheels. They may well rub a bit at the start but all they rub against is plastic and it quickly wears away and stops.

Bigger front arches on Clios make them appear higher at the front than the back. Look at the sills and you'll probably see it's actually a bit nose down.

My ph2 1.2 had 172 wheels and 60mm springs on standard shocks and never rubbed even with a car full. The shocks also never gave up even after 10K+ of 60mm springs being used with them.

They wear through use over time like anything else, there are RS' on here with 100K+ on them still on the original box and clutch and are fine, depends how you treat it. Rushing the box is the biggest killer of them i.e trying to do second gear wheel spins etc.

Standard, or if it's had a bit of work done to it or it's nice and low then the FK rear lights can look good.
