In the bodyshop I work that'd probably be around the £1300 mark, maybe more.
Remove and refit of glass, removal of interior, fit and paint quarter, blend onto door etc it all adds up unfortunately.
Doesn't seem a bargain to me, stupid wheels, stupid tints, stupid sunstrip, crap tyres, owner who sounds a bit simple and doesn't realise it's overdue a cambelt by a year - no thanks.
Wut?
Are you 100% sure they've been fitted correctly? Sounds like something is fitted wrong and when you're turning the spring is getting caught up then twanging as it's released again.
Looks very tidy!
I'm going down the same route too, fresh badges and other OEM bits. How much did you pay for the gearknob and the front diamond if you don't mind me asking?
Wee Raploch fannies like to fire golf balls off the hill next to my work down into our industrial estate, usually they can't hit feck all but today they managed to take out one of our skylights, dent a customers A3 and crack my windscreen :(
I may be back in again, cars booked in for 8.30...
The pic you put up of the V-Maxx rear struts is correct, from the top down nut, washer, rubber, car, rubber, washer.
In response to the pic above, you do not remove that other nut to remove the shock absorber from the car, the only thing holding it on should be the 2 bolts at the hub and the top nut...
If you know the work he does is good and you are happy to pay that then just take it there. You can try and save cash but then you'll never know how it's going to turn out. Not worth the risk IMO.
Mine is getting the same treatment soon, wings bonnet and bumper. Just to rub it in, it won't cost...
