AVG/MSE both as good as each other, although AVG (Grisoft) have started by the looks of things moving away from the free version. Seems a lot more difficult to navigate to a free version.

Most of the LED kits you get come pre wired you just have to join the ends I a power source mate because they have to have a resistor on the positive leg pre wired comes with a resistor in place. Usually a red and black wire red goes to a power source and black to the ground (car body)

The rust you need to sand the paint back (or a paint shop) Remove all the rust using more sand paper or an angle grinder depending on severity apply some rust curing stuff (like an under seal to stop rust reappearing)...

Just spoke with my manager turns out they got one of the mechanics on it and he managed to get in the engine somehow and got the code. Really don't know how! Tighter than a nun in that engine bay!
