GDi's was running over 200 bhp with a Viper a few years ago
GDi also ran 240 bhp with a IK of the open sort (forget the CAF biz and coldest part of the engine aside)
Many cars on here are well over the 200 bhp with mods and IK's fitted
Chris and Nic got a 14.2 with a CDA and very little...
Would have been a different story if that van had noticed his phone sitting at the side of the road - we'd a witnessed some proper induction roar then :rasp: ;)
You mean the same as standard?? :rasp: Not sure but know doubt there will be. Its a old kit now, been out a good few years.
From my experience i had the ph1 set up which was bolted to the car, changed to a 'set up' (mapped) Viper and it made a noticeable difference over the stock one and...
If the whole job lot is going to cost over 200 it might be better just to buy a whole new system. 200 or under and its your call.
I dont know if many folk fit Scorpions, they dont get mentioned much, or how good they are ?
Going on the basis of designed interchangeable parts id guess you want one from the year 1998 + area (roughly when the 172;s came out and im guessing when the engine used in the V6 based cars came out? )
Total guess tho
Not really sure what the going rate for a 182 manifold is these days but its a lot cheaper than it used to be last time i looked.
No, 182 cats or decats wont fit unless you chop your old exhaust down.
Best way is to buy a link pipe from Ktec or get a pipe made up to fit. Ktec link is...
Think your garage sounds about right. one of the pulley bearings, alternator or tensioner.
Get some deep throat in there. Sounds like a 1.2 sewing machine :)
Im happy with mine sticking to the road. If i wanted back end out action id a bought a beemer or something RWD
For those who want to get the ar5e out on a clio sport, whip the back seats ;)
Prospeed made me up a stealth back box when i was running the Magnex and it was roughly 150 - 175 quid delivered excluding the cost of getting the thing modded to fit right!
Usually back boxes are the expensive part so to get a stealth made up for 50 notes is a bargain.
Aye but its up stream. Running it horizontal is going in the opposite direction to natural forward facing flow
You could always put the trumpet beind the grill ;)
Was just going to say the same haha - you could buy a real one for that ;)
Can you not buy these models from Renault?? Sure you could get the standard ph2s a couple of years ago
Me personally id go for a proper map at RS Tuning but i have no experience of the RS Tuner so cant really comment on that score.
RS Tuning map may cost you more but you know when youve left there its going to be running spot on plus you can always go back for the map tweeking at a later date
Im not sure of the lay out on the ph2's.
Going by other folk most stick it through the bottom grill area.
The less bends and distance in the CAF the better the flow to the IK :)
Yeah agree, 45 degree inlet and IK tucked in behind the headlight is the best setup for flow and temps. The good thing about the Maxogen is it makes the best out of the stock setup by being the only IK (i belive) on the market thats inlet points directly into the coldest part of the engine...
Open IK's are regarded as a big no no yet GDI has one and their 182 pulls 240 brake! Granted its in the coldest part of the engine, behind the headlight but its still a open kit.
Folk sl4g the Viper. Fred saw 13 brake with a map (yeah he gets stick about it) and GDi's was running well over...
