V-Maxx are only good if you want to go lowwww in which case you won't be to bothered about handling. They were fine on my 1.2, but no way I'd ever put them on a 172, especially after experiencing the Bilsteins on mine.
Nothing wrong with the standard airbox really, just upgrade the filter in it and the CAFs and it'll be just as good if not better than any induction kit.

It could be done if you're properly going far too close, I've never managed to do it though and we pressure wash cars at work straight out of the spray booth. So whoever was washing it must have been centimetres from the paint.

I never mentioned anything about people thinking it was a 1.2 without all the badges, I don't care about that like you said I know what I'm driving is fast/nice whatever so I'm not too bothered about other people.
I just think pulling off all the badges looks poo, a few simple ones left on look...
