15W-40 is the wrong grade for a 172, use 5W-40 which is the correct grade and will flow better in the cold weather

the camshaft sensor and tdc sensor are different things mate the tdc is sometimes called the crankshaft sensor though, im not being picky, you might have another sensor down maybe ? did you buy the part from Renault ? if so, you might find they will change the part for you under the parts...

for clay, the best ive found is the clean your car yellow stuff, bargain aswell, it can tackle some pretty bad stuff and doesnt seem to leave any marks as long as your well lubed for cloths id get Sonus or the Poorboys orange ones

i really would stay away from the Meguiars #80 and #83 for that matter aswell, they are a right pain to work with id go for the Sonus #1 then #3, usind the Sonus pads aswell you wont go wrong with the Collinite but ive only ever used 476s which is brilliant, i discovered it long before it got...
