I wouldn't bother mentioning it, like Peperami said if they're being that anal then even changing the brand of tyre fitted to the car is a modification.
Ooo a challenge :rasp:

There's the thread, was featured on Traffic Cops, see post #53 onwards ;)
Not always true. There was a famous case featured on Road Wars or something similiar where an Audi S3 was stolen and written off. The insurance company refused to pay out as it was declared as kept in a garage on his policy, but it was parked on the drive at the time it was stolen.
Just take them off everytime you've finished, all your mates will end up sticking them in random places on your car scratching the paint to f*ck. We did this to one of my mates who learned to drive first, lucky it was a sh1tty old 106 he didn't care about.
Yeah a lot of people recommend you do, but I didn't bother, just going to wait until my standard shocks die then I'll get uprated ones. Saying that, they've been on for a good 6 months now at least and my shocks still aren't dead yet. Also just passed an M.O.T and nothing was mentioned about them.
Personally, I think you need to go at least 60mm for it to be even noticable on a non-RS. I've got 60mm Apex on mine, got them for couple of quid under £100 delivered from www.europerformance.co.uk
Handles a lot better, but it's a lot bumpier than standard.
I know Vauxhall Omegas have them as standard, our 2 did. The older one buggered up though, ended up being impossible to get a radio signal and have the heated screen on at the same time.
Hmmmmm that is a strange one. If the stalk works like a non-auto wipers model then maybe it was spec'd from factory to come without them by whoever bought it new?
Why risk it? You know insurance companies will do anything to get out of paying up should anything happen. It won't affect you money wise till you renew anyway.
I got quoted about £1k for the renewal on my modified 1.2, phoned them up and said that's nowhere near what I get using the online quote system, so they honoured it and I ended up paying £880, win!
