I am starting to get a bit confused now I have to admit! I am ok on computers but all this file conversion stuff is a bit complicated.
If someone could please just list which programs to use and which settings to apply to get a DVD ripped onto my PC, then converted to MP4 format, that would be...
 The disc must be protected or something...so need to unprtect it I guess! Is this easy to do, and if so, how do I do this?!?
If its complicated I will leave it and speak to Jacko later on after his kind offer for some help!
I am just going to try this Handbrake program that has been recommended to me first, otherwise will revert to the DVD Decrypter program. If I can't watch the VOB files though, which files could I watch from here, as not much point ripping files I can't watch?!? Must need a codec pack like you...
Just reading this now...this looks easier to use than both the programs I was using together before...will let you know how I get on, many thanks for all the advice as this should be simple to do. Bloody PCs!!!
Can't you change this setting, as you could in the standard N95 then? I did it for my Dad as he didn't like how it displayed, although that was in the Address Book, not sure if the same applied to the Message inbox to be fair.
Might give this a pop if DVD Encrypter doesn't work for me. Cheers dude.
Is it the VOB files I am definitely meant to be converting then? Surely I should be able to watch the VOB files by themself, can you? When I click on them it goes to the DVD software menu, but then brings up the Error...
What is better than DVD Decryper then? All I want to do is get films onto my iPod, in a process that is as simple as possible, getting it compressed to a decent file size, say no more than a gig of memory.
Keep the ideas coming please!!!
Thanks for all your help guys!
I might try using that new program then...
The files used on iPod are MP4s as far as I know. All I want to do is rip a couple of episodes of Afro Samurai on there so I can watch them on the go, then obviously can apply the same principle to other DVDs down the...
Downloaded this program after recommendation from someone on here. This was with the intention of first ripping films onto my PC, then using another piece of software converting it the ripped files to MP4 so I can watch it on my iPod.
Now, just ripped all the files onto my PC. There seems to be...
Its already gone past the usefull stage, with so many GHEY applications that everyone has, and much more sponsorship and advertising on its way. With so many users and photos on there I don't even want to think how big their servers are.
Just annoying as the guy who invented it is my age, only...
Ha a whole bumper to replace a grille?! What a joker! You can definitely get the grille separate, don't know the part number I am afraid though - sure someone else will.
Super Resin Polish, Extreme Gloss Protection (maybe), Glass Polish, Fast Glass, Engine and Machine Cleaner and Vinyl and Rubber Care is all I use from the Autoglym range. They work pretty well, the SRP is the best product in their range IMO, but even that isn't amazing as in the wrong hands can...
Yep thats the easiest way although you don't even have to do that - just copy in the tunes you want into the iPod you want...absolutely no need to have "dual iTunes" - you can't do that anyway!
Haha fair play. The place I was at was rubbish in general though, full of locals and t he average age of about 40, I'm 23 so not great stomping ground in general!
CYC is very good but so are all the others I have tried so I would recommend trying others too - no one retailer supplies everything I want so have to shop around a bit.
I've started to use the old Blackfire Tyre Gel on some exterior plastic like the splitter and fog light surrounds and works very well. Looks great and seems to last a long time too. Probably not going to bother buying the Wow now...
I don't know mate, it seems like little droplets you add to waxes to make them work better. But hell knows how you could mix it with a pot of a paste type wax??! Certainly not dunking my Onyx into it!!!
But I guess there must be some use to it as got quite a lot of promotion when it came out...:S
