Sounds like the spring on the TB.
Easy to check. Next time it revs up get out the car lift the bonnet and see if the black throttle cable holder on the TB is going back into idle position (against the gromit)
New throttle body. You cant buy the springs from Renault on their own and getting...
Im about a year and recieved 3 quid off and various points top ups on a voucher sent just before Christmas.
Pretty average fuel user too filling up about 20 quid a week
1. If only heat wrapping was that good lol. No need to worry about anything like that.
2.
i.You can run cams on the standard ecu so yes it will be fine.
ii. 182 cat wont fit, its too big so forget that. Cat from any car will do as long as it will fit. 172 cat will be pushing it too, imo , as...
Please dont WD40 ?? :S
Lube the pulleys up by using WD40, or spray grease etc. Mine squeeked a few weeks back, pretty sure it was the bottom front pulley nearest the catch tank on mine
There not that bad!
My mate used to work for a accident repair centre dealing with all the insurance companys and it was never as bad as hunting over cars with a fine tooth comb finding reasons not to pay.
There was one story was a insurance company refusing to pay up because a customer...
b**ch of a job to do but if you can get access to a ramp its half the battle.
If you dont want to mess about welding a link pipe / decat pipe Ktec have a off the shelf item which will save a bit of time
Out of interest where did you get these facts from??
From 1992 all cars must be fitted with a cat. As already said, its regarded that if you dont have one fitted that you will fail a emissions test. That does not mean its illegal not to have a cat.
I cant find anywhere where it says its...
Not the cams on their own no, coupled with the other mods iv got but the cams were where the big difference came from
25bhp over stock and it should pull like a train and well over a standard 172 / 182 from experience
Mate works for a well known national based car dealership and claims that thats acutally wrong, its based on emissions NOT whether it has a cat or not.
No no i mean all the bits you need to take off are fastend to the plenum basically. If you lifted it off you'd see all the things you need to take off as listed as a easy guide but remove fastend bits then lift off
Its so easy to do, it makes it hard to explain lol
Something must have been seriously wrong then. :S
Iv got roughly 25 bhp over standard with 'shitty' Pipers among other things and standard 172's / 182's are not even worth breaking a sweat against the difference is that big.
How do you work that one out ??
Only difference between silenced and unsilenced is hollow pipe vs hollow pipe with internal walls made up of little holes.
Whats your theory behind that ??
Iv run Silkolene in the past and run Mobil 1 and guess what?? you cant tell one jot of difference.
As long as its the correct grade and its regularly changed and your not pro racing at 7tho rpm everywhere imo i dont think the extra expence of Silkoline can be...
