If your engines getting that hot that a piece of metal shielding is heating up to a temperature where heat rays come off and thus causing heat soak theres something seriously a miss with your engine
In any case, you wont get that much heat soak when the cars in forward motion
Quite suprised at that because i havent really heard anyone complain about the noise level from a GDi system other than a positive one.
I know Yozza race one is meant to be very loud.
End of the day its all down to what a person can tolerate.
He's talking complete s**te about the decat. As you said, clearly wanting you to spend more cash
Cams seem cheap. What kind are they??
Remap, by this stage i think id walk lol
At a guess you'd be looking at 4k for TB's. LSD's are about another grand excluding fitting i think.
Take into consideration also that you could probably buy a 2nd car with that 4k budget that would quite easily keep up with a Clio on TB's
You want a 2.5'' bore straight through system from the likes of Yozza, GDi, K-tec , or custom etc etc
In the 2.5'' category no difference in performance between makes other than the quality of welds, fit and sound.
Same here.
ph2 lamps look gash imo. Love the fact the ph1 lamps are just one colour all over, red.
Speaking of 'upgrading' also hate the ph2 bumper craze on ph1's :o :quiet:
You dont need a limited slip diff mate.
First step you have to ask yourself is, do you want to spend thousands modding your Clio.
If the answer is yes, research into how much things cost and your budget and take it from there.
Why are you blaiming Renault?? :S
If they give you a wrong part they replace the part back for free :S :S (mine always has) Standard shop practice. Even my local breakers does it lol
My alternator went, i handed them the car to Renault, they fitted a brand new one (about 250 ish from...
Should be quicker than a 1.8 20v turbo (stock powerd one)
2 points to note. Your engine is quite young with 27k on the clock. They usually need about mid 30's / 40k's to really open up.
Also Clio Sports dont feel as quick as what they are. Could be to do with the high driving position...
Can you not buy a spare inlet and send it off??
And Dan R, do a search on the subject. By quoting 5 bhp your giving the impression theres no gains to be had. You couldnt be further from the truth
More air in = potential to run lean. Lean = drop in performance
IK = better flow over stock induction (more air in)
Folk fit IK moan that theres a drop in performance / no difference - do the maths ;)
You make half your cash back when you come to sell it so not that bad if you think about it.
Quality dosent come cheap. Things are dear for a reason, their generally better
Best looking wheels for a Clio imo
Quality of these wheels is amazing. Been over the biggest pot holes known to man and they never bend! Only down side is their weight
Because if your using metal piping it will cut and wear through the rubber of the clamp in no time
Plumbers copper piping just about does it all be it a very tight fit. The thinner stuff not regular size
You cant compare the Clio's image to a Scooby. Clio never had one lol plus for a start there was a 10k premium over a Clio Sport depending on what model of Scooby (when new) plus group 20 insurance.
Another example is E36 M3's. Only a pipe dream for most young men in their day but now you see...
